    New to me 963 problem

Was playing on my new to me 1994 963 today when I lost forward and reverse. Looked underneath and what I assume is hydraulic fluid was pouring out from the belly pan. Any ideas on what it might be would be greatly appreciated. Hoping it's just a hose. Also what do you have to remove to be able to see in there.

    Thanks.
    Mark.

I would crawl under it and look up in the belly pans if you cant see the leak from the top.

It could be a hyd line for one of the drive motors. I am not sure how it runs on the 63's but the 53's have a return line that goes to the hyd tank on the front of the machine, it could be that as well. You'll more than likely need to drop the belly pans either way. Depending on your mechanical skills, you may want to call a mechanic. If it was mine, I would call a mechanic...

make sure to use the correct weight of oil as the incorrect weight can cause MAJOR trannie problems especially on the old style pcu type hydrostat i use 303 in mine but call the local stealer and have them tell u. p. s. if they tell u "aw32" the person on the other end of the phone line has no clue what ur asking him

i had to remove the top plates and pull the tank to replace the leaking line...and i replaced all of them at that point.
