Super Adobe earth building technology in Australian outback

A friend of mine has been teaching super adobe earth building techniques in outback Australia.
Take a look at http://youtu.be/1YC79lNQ1tw and see how it's done.

    Sod it Stock!

I mean you've just got to put a sod roof over your super adobe structure to keep that rain out

Actually I'm involved in a workshop demonstrating super adobe construction around my patch on the very damp east coast of Australia. Once this bl**dy rain stops, I've got to screen the rocks and clods from the dirt we'll be using.
There are quite a lot of earth construction houses in my area and we don't live in a desert. We average well over a metre of rain per annum spread fairly evenly throughout the year. However the last couple of years have been much wetter. It seems every rain event is approx. 100mm, (4 inches), of rain. My yard is like a bog lately and it's hard to get out on a job and finish it before the rain comes again, sod it!
