vibratory trenching attaching poly pipe

hello,

trying to figure out the best way to attach black poly pipe to the chain running off of the back of my vibratory trencher. I see they make those metal chinese fingers, but was wondering if there is another method that may be cheaper than that tool.

found this tool and made one with the handy plasma cutter.
