Hino FD Wont Turn Over - Jump Start

    Hi,
I brought a 04 fd hino sight unseen that had been sitting for 3 months over the phone.
Sent a driver on the plane to pick it up and when he got there it had flat batteries, when the jump pack was attached it just clicks once (it now has new batteries and still the same problem so its not power)
They tow started it and it ran fine, but found out the alternator was not working (before new batteries were in so no lights or anything, ran fine for about 30sec before tacho stopped and it started smoking because the computer turned off?)

Im starting to think at some stage someone has jumped it with the jump leads on the wrong way, and blown something. All fuses and relays in the fuse box are fine.
If you short the starter motor with a screw driver it spins up but doesnt crank the motor.
In a Isuzu they have a fusable link behind the motor for the starter motor, is there something similar with Hino? The driver has since come home so i will be going up next week to get it so want a few ideas to try for when i do.

    Cheers,
    Nick

There maybe a relay for the starter , or the starter solenoid.

I was thinking there might be a fuse on the starter itself but will have to see.
The relay was fine, could be the solenoid.
