Need Tire Info
Priced new 15 ply 13.00 X 24 grader tires yesterday. $500/ea. mounted. The old M100B Allis Chalmers probably isn't worth the price of six new ones. And the old rims might require additional expenditure for tubes. We've had this machine for around thirty years and never even had a flat, but now the rubber is slinging off all six tires, so the gig is up now.
So what I'm seeking to know is, is there a truck tire size which can be substituted for 13.00 X 24 grader tires?
I've seen this done on M65 class Allis Chalmers graders, but never on larger machines.
It occurs to me that is might be a good move to replace the M100 with the smaller M65 in better condition just to be able to run used truck tires, which are a dime a dozen. Machinery Trader is currently loaded with the 65 Series Allis and Fiat Allis machines.
Thanks in advance for all replies.

We faced a similar dilemma with our M100 several years ago.
Ended up going with new Chinese (Triangle) tyres which came with tubes.
Half a dozen flats later, we ditched these tubes and replaced them with quality ones and they have been fine since.
They will probably outlast the grader but have saved countless headaches.
Cheers, Greg
