    1988 3/4 ton 4 door GM with 354 perkins engine

    Engine is toast, no compression on 1 cylinder and the rest are low (250 pounds). Was a complete running truck until a couple weeks ago when one hole quit working. 3.21 final drive with a lock up diff, NP 540 5 speed transmission. Turns about 2000 rpm at 50 mph. Drivetrain originally out of a mid 60's Dodge PD500 or 600. I'm pulling the batteries and one pair of tires for the replacement truck, the rest is all there. Body is a little tough (rockers gone). Used to see 29 mpg (imperial) when this was in good shape, and it had lots of torque.

    Lots of these engines available in White or Massey combines, and lots of other places too.....
