Here some pics of Cascadia's P16 #H86 ex M&B truck with Smith 150 ton lowbed. Is that the ex Kelsey Bay lowbed you mentioned in another Thread?
No thats Port McNeills lowbed Jeune Landing where I work is Part of Port McNeill div but separate, Our lowbed is in dire need of a rebuild all the pins and bushings on the goose neck are shot . I think it might be the sister to that one haven't checked the build numbers yet. Will post picture of truck and lowbed on Kenworth thread soon.
P-16 nearly went off the bridge when the compensator broke. Trailer went over, and the tractor almost broke off its suspension.
Cool old Pacific no idea how old maybe some one could fill us in? bet she could tell some stories...
Slack the main come ahead easy
Trakloader Did we tweak the frame here or did she always list to Starboard???? Seen this when N/S mechanic jackknifed the trailer backing it up and cracked the comox hitch and never checked it out Just parked the truck Next day driver gets in and with his first load comes around a sharp corner and the trailer and load kind of depart the scene cause it was cracked all the way or most of the way around
That was a VERY close call, HDX. The truck has that list because all the U-bolts etc. broke on one side. The driver actually got a glimpse of the river out the window, before the load slid off and the truck flopped back onto the bridge. The trailer was pretty smashed up after going over the bridge.
Pacific P16 with Pacific trailer, Port McNeill
P16 LLL unit #T348 at LLL shop. Look at bunk at truck![]()
That truck is SN T860-9, it's a 1948 model, and the 9th truck built. Had a Cummins NHB in it when it was new. Here's the line ticket: http://www.pacifictruckclub.org/Docs/tcbT860-9.pdf
Just curious do most of these places up in BC where you guys get all these great pics mind people walking in to take pictures if you get permission? Or do you have to be connected? Just wondering because one of these days I would like to wander up to the Island and look at some of these great places. Like Lemare Lake?
