    tampo roller

hey we just picked up a tampo 10/12 ton wheeled roller ,its a x military unit with under 300 hours on it .
im not sure on the specific model because they painted over every tag on the machine .
the problems were having with it are it has almost no power to drive in either directions and the viberator wont start ,the military put a brand new sunstrand vib pump . ,
we had to pull the 453 out of it to service the overcenter clutch and change some rusty bearings in the funk box.

were going to run the pressure checks on the pumps when the motors back in the machine but were just stumped as to why the whole system is down ,i had the tank opened up and the filter looked clean and there was no metal or junk in the tank pointing to a pump failure .

they have atf in the system should it run that? or should it run 10 weight hydraulic trans oil ?
any imput would be alot of help .

Maybe the over center or clutch was slipping what kind of work did it need?

thats what we first thought because the clutch handel was loose and jumping all over the place....but when we pulled the engine we found it was in working order and compressed but the pilot bearing in the flywheel failed . so we pulled the funk box apart to inspect for damage from the failed bearing and found that the box was full of water .so we have to change the 6 bearings in the box .

the pumps are almost brand new and from experience with these pumps they should not have failed like this .....were going to check for blocks in the pickups and if not were thinking its a stuck relief valve in the charge pumps .
