    that isnt bad enough to stop me from pulling it, it would be fine as long as there are no cracks

    Sneak out there on the weekend/after hours, torch off the snout and throw it in the river. Now they will have to repair it.
    Oh yeah, deny everything.

    Id red flag it while its being repaired or being considered for repair. DON'T wait until the day of it's maiden voyage. Should be simple fix for a Good/Decent/Average welder. Just tell them "Hey, looks pretty unsafe and we should fix item A, B, C, etc"
