The HDX fire tanker pictured above (PT1) was cut up in Campbell River a couple years ago. I bought the cab off her. The rear ends were installed in a gravel truck

    Truck # 203
Picture 1 - Harris Creek 1960 truck #203 with short stakes . Are these what they call Seattle stakes ?
Picture 2 - and 3 are of truck #203 in 1961 with a 5 gallon rebuild and converted over to a Pre-load truck
In picture 2 with the headlights under the rad and the trailer hitch and steel plate on bumper almost looks like #203 is happy to be getting another load

Looks like a Northwest. The pictures of the drill, the last three don't show a tank drill. I can see cat tracks, appears to be another cat drill.

They were either orange or yellow, and went back and forth from what I have seen. Lima normally had the cab on the other side.

I have never seen a yellow Northwest, although I'm sure you're right. Now that I think about it, I believe the few Limas I have been around did have the cab on the other side.

Looking closely, that is a Model 6 Northwest and appears to have the high lift boom, and probably has the long sticks, too. The Northwest has more rigging than other shovels, with extra stays on the boom, etc. You couldn't raise or lower the boom easily on those machines.

You must be a ole Cat tracker from way back trakloader , you are right after zooming in I can see a Cat drill . I just saw the orange and figured it was a Finning tank drill , but what I was looking at was the compressor on the back . here's a close up for those who don't have the eyes that trakloader has .

This is all so neat! My Grandpa was the president of BCFP for a while, Ken Benson. He always loves seeing pictures and other stuff from his BCFP days. I cannot wait to show him this forum. Did anyone work with him at all?
