    Russian Guinness-champion dozer arouses interest
    Russia received a big order for dozers.

    Customers from South African Republic, India and Tajikistan confirmed their will to purchase eight super-heavy dozers T-800 from Russia`s Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (CTZ, CTZ-Uraltrak).

    According to PR Administration of CTZ-Uraltrak, T-800 dozer is included into Guinness Worlg Records Book as the biggest and the most productive dozer in the world. The 12.4 meters long and 4.7 meters wide machine with 106 tons of weight is designed for operation on heavy frozen ground rock material mining. The dozer is equipped with BelAZ engine (Belarus) with 820 hp capacity and 2.5-ton fuel tanks. Maximum forward speed is 10.6 km/h, maximum backward speed is 14 km/h.

    During its history, CTZ has assembled only 10 super-heavy dozers, most of which are still operating. The latest T-800 was shipped to its customer seven years ago. New export orders for this giant tractor witness high competitiveness of CTZ products on international market.

    Is it as clunky as everything else that has come out of Russia? Things coming from there have not been known as top shelf in a lot of ways.

    Wonder what the price is? I've seen Belarus combines and tractors that came from Russia and the workmanship was terrible. Hopefully they were'nt drinking vodka when they built this one!!

    If its anything like a Kamaza or Euro truck run. The Russians haven't yet figured out the quality thing yet with equipment.

    It may be big in Russia, but the 575 is about 150 metric ton operating weight.

    That T-800 is close to a D-11 in weight and power.

    One thing about Russian gear is that it is made to be easy to repair in the field. It has to be. They have no logistics like we are accustomed to. Parts are not right down the road.

    Hey terex B, I can tell you have never been there. I guarantee you they had their snoot in the vodka jug when they built it. They have their snoot in the vodka jug all of the time.

    Hey plantman.uk. Don't be so mean. You use what you have. If its old coke cans, well its old coke cans. Or in the case of the russians and the chinese they are perfectly capable of making a sow's ear out of a silk purse too. Been there, seen both of them do it.

    During World War II three US Army Air Corp B29 bombers landed in Russia. Stalin kept them. After the war the russians took them apart and copied them part for part, rivet for rivet and made a fleet of 129 copies. How would liked fly those piles of junk?
