I would think Western and Lemare must have a pretty good percentage of them tied up.

Bear Bay Bute Inlet 1999
This 122 yarder was built for Holbrook /Dyson in 1989 (sry forget what # it was ). It was ordered with a 4 foot cab raiser and a 500 gallon fuel tank for extra counterweight on the back .It's the litte yarder that thought it was big lol , we named it Logzilla ! .In these pictures we are moving to the other side of the bay for a few more blocks . The barge is the Aurora Explorer, it is a west coast working cruise ship . You can book a cruise on the Aurora Explorer and ride on her as she is working going camp to camp ect . The link belt is a 3800 if i remember right , thats a old UH10 for a backspar beside the link belt and a KW fuel truck . I wish I had a video of when the yarder came off the barge , it was let off in about 3 feet of water , as the yarder came off the barge started to raise up , I thought for sure it was going over ,good thing we had it full of fuel .

Yup...this is the same site that Skadill and I visited last year...this time we brought more bushwacking firepower.
And NO....that's not Skadill...it's Fitz...a retired Queen Charlottes logger and machine operator
Truck looks like a good candidate for restoration sans the yarder.
Thanks for an awesome video.

Good work Mike !!
I work on a machine just like that one ( if not that one ). I have a ton of story's about that machine, lot of good time's . The one i worked on also had a cat engine .They put it in after a fire started by a haulback block at the back end ,fire started in the middle of the night sometime , when we got there around 3am the guyline shackles were glowing red we towered down and used cutoff saw to cut the guylines off . Then took the machine to end of the road about 1/2 mile away, were it caught on fire , the fire burnt the yarding motor and yarding cab , Then the bombers did a drop on it . With the new motor that machine would move 1/2 mountain in one turn lol .

For anyone out there keeping track Keith Turner retired Madill service manager turned 106 on May 7. Haven't seen him for a while but was told a few days ago he is still the same as ever. A little hard of hearing but still gets around under his own power and his memory is still sharp. regards d.d.
046 Serial No 10026 and only one I believe specced from Madill with a Cat D3408 , cleaned and ready for shipping to Gisborne NZ. Hope to have it painted, tidied up and working end July maybe beginning of August. Once I get it up and running I will post some more photos
