    2.5ton mini, whats good

Being kubota mad, i have a kx008 and a kx41-2s but im considering getting a 2.5 ton also. What is good, ive worked the takeuchi tb125 and its a very nice digger. Aint used kubota, drove a hitachi aswell and it was nice but the takeuchi was nicer to work in my opinion and not expensive to buy. Just thought i'd get some opinions on this, any faults with certain makes etc,

Could try a Volvo EC25, as you are Kubota mad a KX61-2/3 has got to be worth a punt!!

If you have a weight limit to stick to it may be best to narrow down your choices using that criteria before going any further as the weights of these machines can vary!!

I would be pulling it with a twin wheel dyna, so 2.5 tonne or slightly less. Drove a volvo before too, nice long arm on them

JCB do a 802 which is around the 2 ton weight and Hanix do a H22B which is about 2.2 tons so these may give you a bit of breathing space with the weight e.g you could carry some buckets and a breaker e.t.c on the trailer and still be able to get the machine caked in mud and be under weight (just!!)

not keen on jcb mini's, might look into an older kubota around 1996 or so. I dont do a mad amount of work with these machines. Sure the 41-2 has 1300 hrs on it in nearly 8 years. Looks rougher lol as its been in some very tight places but feck how it looks. Dont know much about Hanix, are they anygood

Im from wicklow / dublin area. Its is very dead alright. Only gettting a day here a day there, but sure it all adds up.Jcb's & 13 tonners are really dead. People are nearly killing each other for the work. I reckon things will be worse next year

Not just the south of the UK that is quiet for work then!!

I'm not a fan of JCB's either!! Hanix are japanese so well built and solid just not as pretty as the Kubota's e.t.c.

A Kubota KX61-2 was the first ever mini ex I drove!!

Yeah the 3/4 ton Hanix runs the same Kubota diesel as the early Kubota K008.
