    Just means it is cracked up. Most of the time around here it will be cracked but not real loose. It can be some hard digging stuff.

    WOLF. around the area that job was, there is huge asbestos mines their is only one running at the moment. BY telling you this th rock in the area is soft and junk. we call it roten beacuse its not even hard enough to make gravel or reall anything its good for fill. the good rock was after the first bench on the front side of the job. even on the back side on the second bench we where blasting and it would turn to 3/4 gravel. we where droping 30,000 tuns a day and on the hard side the 385 would load it out in 1 day and the soft side there 345 would load it out in a day and a half. so it make for alot of dirt flying

    the geologists call it "incompetent rock formations" the drillers call it rotten.

    Passed this Kenworth on the way in from the bush today. The truck did not have chains on and spun out halfway up the hill, he slid down the hill and laid her on the side. The driver walked away with no injuries.(Hay Stack Road north of Fort St. John)
