    Scraper job in Stockholm

    Some pic's of the first scraper job in Stockholm for over 30years.
    Just had to take an day off and go take some pic's.
    It's an friend to me who owns the D8R seriesll and the 463 scraper.
    Quite nice looking couple!!

    Ofcourse not!
    It's not many places here in this area of Sweden that lends it self for scraper use.
    And then there isnt many contractors left that have scrapers.
    I would say that there isnt 10 contractors in this country that have scrapers.
    Stockholm area is alot of granit and between that alot of clay that can be very soft.
    So excavators and ADT's or dumptrucks is the way to go here mostly.

    Oh I see, thanks for the knowledge, wow, less than 10 contractors, that not much at all.

    Hi Cat-Peter,

    Great name, great pictures.

    A cat and can was an outstanding combination for pioneering cuts and fills in steep country before twin engine scrapers were available. Sliding down into steep canyons was always a thrill.

    I had one for years and years, not much you can't do with one if the haul is close

    It sure is! And with all envoirmental talk today it must be perfect, such as this site.....1 machine doing the work of 4!!

    Would think that was an thrill!
