    Allis Chalmers TL series

They are neat loaders for what they are but they're slow, awkward and hard to get parts for. I'd look on facebook marketplace and see what other similar stuff is selling for and list it there Thanks Erik

    Spicer 7 speed

If you had a 7 speed that was falling out of 7th, is that something that will migrate to the other gears too? Looking at a truck, and with our use not sure we'd ever really use top gear, but if it's a warning of hell to come rather not touch it.

What brand of log loader is it?

Best Choice of a Mini Excavator

Deere and Hitachi are the same machines when it comes to excavators, different paint, sometimes different engines depending on size. I'd also recommend taking a look at Takeuchi, my grandfather had a TB25, I have a TB145, great machines, that we've had great luck with.

Debating what size and or combo of excavators to go, all input welcome

Thanks for the advice I'll definitely be checking the stick lengths ;) I'd love to have that big of machine but the biggest I can realistically haul is 5-6 ton machine (and some of the 6 ton ones are pushing it) so I figured I'd go as big as I can haul.

Debating what size and or combo of excavators to go, all input welcome

Well narrowed it down to the 5 ton size (with swing boom ie Deere 50 TB145 etc) or the 6 ton size PC60 SK60 EX60 etc. Anybody been in the same quandary? I've got two foundations to dig, some concrete work to work on and a garage to tear down, I know the swing boom machine will be more useful in...

Debating what size and or combo of excavators to go, all input welcome

Finally figured out I need to be in the 5 to 7 ton range, with the kind of stuff I'm doing is it better to go a little bigger PC60 E70B EX60 type or will the added abilities of a Deere 50 or something like that be worth going a little smaller in order to get a swing boom and what not? What are...

    Best Six Ton Excavator

Finally settled on a size so can't tell you how many Deere 70's, EX60's PC60's andSK60's I've looked at. Only question which of these would you suggest staying away from or going towards? Heard that parts are hard to find on Deere 70's and EX60's, is this just for the older series that had...

International 650 excavator need parts Help!!

Did you try Tractorparts.com General Gear?

    Boom Geometry

That's what I figured, my question then I suppose is it something I'll notice, and is it a severe disadvantage to have the boom up front on a swing like that? thanks

    Boom Geometry

So I'm looking at a couple 6 ton machines, the HR20 Terex, and the PC60 Komatsu, among other machines in this arena of size (finally took people's advice and narrowed the search for an excavator for the largest machine I could haul with my current set up). Both machines are in the same...

International 650 excavator need parts Help!!

Often times International borrowed parts from other designs, so I'd definitely cross reference to dozers loaders etc and see if perhaps they are the same. It's certainly worth a shot.

    Allis Chalmers TL series

The trick is you got to get that strainer clean in the bottom of the housing, then you may have to rebuild the hydraulic pump. I still do, it is just connected via a torque convertor. Don't know exactly how they did it all when they did the repower...

    Allis Chalmers TL series

Elanman, I'd call up General Gear, http://www.tractorparts.com/allis_chalmers.htm They say they have manuals for the TL20, I know at least last I heard they had at least one in parts too... Awesome machine you got there!

    language change sumitomo sh120

It's the same machine as Link Belt or Case, don't know if there's any dealers of that sort down there in Sri Lanka, but may be worth a shot.

    1845c lift 2500lb pallet?

A little counterweight goes a long way especially if it's off the back, we have an Allis Chalmers forklift that can lift a bunk of densdeck, but not without the back coming off the ground UNLESS you put two to three buckets of screws behind the seat. Again who would have thought that a hundred...

Joystick Thoughts, full Length Half Length

Makes sense, so interesting that folks like Komatsu and Link Belt and even Deere on like the 290 kept up with the 'chicken leg' controls much longer than Mitshubishi or Hitachi... Wonder why that was.... I'm looking for a machine for a few projects including two house foundations, and keep...

Joystick Thoughts, full Length Half Length

Been looking at a lot of excavators lately, and noticed that some of the ones, old Komatsus, smaller machines (ie the excavator I learned on an old TB125 Takeuchi my grandfather had) where it's not full long sticks but it's like half way sticks. I've dealt with long and medium sticks, not...

Debating what size and or combo of excavators to go, all input welcome

How frustrating do you find digging full depth basements with the 53? I'd think it'd get old quick, but then again I've only run mini's up to a Vio27 Yanmar, so that's still quite a bit smaller, just would think anything much under 15k lbs would take a long time and be difficult to do basements...
