    4x4 Options????

I understand that you already have the Pete but I think upgrading would be really spendy and possibly troublesome. The utility company i worked for has a long history of buying International medium duty trucks from the factory as four wheel drives. They spend ALOT of time in tough country and...

    does anybody know?

I may be AFU but I believe the igniton fuse actually just supplies power to the fuel shutoff solenoid. Perhaps the wire is chafed somewhere and is grounding out at times. I had that very thing happen on our John Deere 310.

    Really dumb question about excavators/

What makes an excavator more desirable than a comparably sized backhoe/loader. It seems to me that a backhoe/loader would be better because it can do more than just dig but i'm sure I'm missing something. Thanks Steve.

Hello our 94 JD 310 backhoe which generaly is in very good shape just started overheating. My son roaded it about 6 miles on flat ground, elevation 4500 feet ,O.A.T 101 F. This unit has no temp gauge only a waning light and buzzer, neither of which alarmed. As he was driving the radiator fill...

anything I should watch out for on a JD 310d

My father in law just bought a used JD 310D from the city of Vallejo CA. Overall it seems to be in very good shape. No dents, broken glass, torn seats etc. My guess is this machine was used by a limited number of or maybe even one operator. There are some pins that need replacing but little else...
