    Komatsu PW140-7 hydraulic load issues

Spoke to Komatsu again today before they take the pump off tomorrow. They tell me that when they have taken the LS line off, it has only dropped the pressure in the pump enough for it to start. The pressure is still high when starting but just low enough for it to crank up. With the LS line...

    Komatsu PW140-7 hydraulic load issues

Thanks for the reply. We're in the hands of the Komatsu team at the minute, our local independant fitter didn't know where to start so we had to call in the big boys. The pump will be whipped off and checked over on a test bench at a local hydrauilc specialist, at least then it can be ruled...

    Komatsu PW140-7 hydraulic load issues

Hi Guys, we have a PW140-7 rubber duck. We put a rotating selector grab on it the other day from a local hire place. Several days later we stopped the machine and it wouldn't start again. Starter checked out fine and still no joy. Eventually had to call out komatsu, he looked at hydraulic...

Anyone heard of a Hitachi TD 09 Dozer

Just had a brain wave, the machine we looked at was a fiat hitachi FD145, it was a 1993, with an Iveco turdo charged engine, think it was a six cylinder as well. Nice machine though but heavily worn.

Anyone heard of a Hitachi TD 09 Dozer

I looked at a similar sized hitachi dozer that was from the 90's a couple of years ago, but it wasn't a TD series, this one was around D5 size and had an Iveco 4 cylinder turboed engine in it, I think it was called a hitachi D110 if my memory serves me correct. Didn't seem a bad machine, didn't...

    Hit a rock with this!!!

Its a bit like the rubber duck of the excavator world, its not everyones cup of tea, but I'm sure it has plenty of potential for moving from one site to another without a lowloader, can move from one side of a carriage way to another with no fuss, snow ploughing etc, any application where you...

    307 C Cat

We've hired before and they are a good strong machine, we do find them to be a little low on tracking power for a CAT but still fairly good. We find the offset boom next to the cab to be the better ones, more flexible and more reach, rubber tracks is also an option to look at for any work on...

    grade controls on excavators

Hi there, I would sudjest an Apache 6, it has a 15 degree each way compensator on it so you can programme it so you can check your grade with a flat bucket over a 30 degree arc, 15 each way from plumb, but the unit has to be a set distance from you main bucket pin at all times and the unit has...

    digging over drive motors

Lincolnshire Market Rasen area, inbetween Lincoln and Grimsby, funny you say Holbeach if you go into Holbeach from the A17 and straight through I did the concrete base for the petrol station sign several years ago for a company from caistor down the road from where I live. I also go to port...

    digging over drive motors

In general construction ( which a lot of us work in) the machine tends to work in its full envelope, ie every where in its circle. A lot of our work can be cross carriage, so we spread the wear evenly so to speak, let the rollers have their share of the work load, why should they have an easy...

    help with laser?

If you haven't got a lot of use for one after you've used it, it can be worth hiring for a week or two here and there, or hire one to have a go with so you know what you want out of one and have a bit more knoledge before you buy. I was once in your position, gaffer said lasers were no use and...

    SED in the UK

Sed We went to SED today, it was poor really compared to other years, no caterpillar, komatsu, volve, terex, hitachi. Only half the amount of stands from other years and under half the amount of visitors. We still had a good day but there wasn't as much as normal. Spoke to our finning rep on...

How many hrs do you get out of an U/C?

You know that had never occured to me, the seat is twisted 15 degrees or so clockwise in most dozers, so your naturally going to favour one direction where possible because you always look over the right shoulder due to the angle of the seat.

    hitachi zaxis electrical problem

If its any consolation, HM plant are cheaper than Finnings for service, last time we had a fitter from HM, its was £50 per hour and 85 pence per mile from nearest depot regradless of where fitter comes from, they should be able to plug on the palm top to your machine as well to computer...
