    Have snap binders been outlawed?

I'm going to try that. I use ratchets most of the time but still use the snap binder too. Thanks for the replies.

    Have snap binders been outlawed?

I keep hearing people say you cannot use snap binders anymore. I believe it is all gossip. No one has been able to show me otherwise. I don't doubt someone has gotten a ticket for something similar and the truth has been lost as information has passed from person to person. I just want the...

    Diesel price going down?

I don't think there is a candidate that is worth voting for. None of them are talking about real solutions to the problem (not that I know the answer).

How do you have your truck GVW registered?

I'm fairly sure you register the power unit (truck) for the total wt of the truck and the trailer loaded. All of my trailer tags from tag along to semi are blank where the gross wt is supposed to be. My truck for example. 2004 F250 single rears This is out of the owners manual. Max...

Ford vs Navistar - what's next for F Series?

All the manufactures have problems with the first model of anything. I wonder how many problems the 7.3 had on its intro. The difference now is the internet. A couple of problems show up and its all over the internet. And the story gets bigger each time it's told. The good thing is all...

    Diesel vs the environment

I'm by no means a tree hugger and I have yet to be convenced the earth is warming up. Historical data states that it has been this warm before. But I do have concerns for my children. I do not think our generation will see the effects of pullution, but I do think our children and...

    "Well...nobody died."

It looks like he was on fairly level ground. What caused the trailer to fall over. Heavy on one side?

    Isuzu Utility Truck

Ah yes, I have dreams of the Volvo hook lift. Wet dreams of Wawreckers T-800 hook lift.

    Isuzu Utility Truck

I know 175 will move that much but I don't want to get on the highway at 35 mph. Yes I'm spoiled its hard to get out of my 325hp 6.0L pickup to get into my road tractor at only 290hp & 855cid. Not enough hp for that truck ether, but thats a different topic. You really can't compare IH...

    Isuzu Utility Truck

I was wondering if one would pull a trailer with my skid steer and maybe one attachment. The skid steer with tracks and bucket 11,500 lbs trailer 2800 lbs. forks 700 lbs. The total would be 15,000 lbs. to pull. That's a lot for only 175 hp.

There is a kit you can buy that seals the inside of the tank. It includes a cleaning solution and sealing. http://www.kbs-coatings.com/KBS-Gas-Tank-Sealer-C38.aspx I'm sure there are other brands out there. Try antique tractor supply companies. Tim

    Leaking Foundation

greywynd, I like those products also. I did not realize that you sealed all the seams to create a large membrane. Might have to try that on the next house. Tim

    Leaking Foundation

I start a job like this by doing whatever it takes to divert surface water away from the house. Downspouts piped off. The grade falling away from the foundation. I don't have any faith in the products that are applied inside the wall especially on a rock wall. If you are going to the...

dump, hook, dumpster truck ... opinions and advice needed

I looked at this a while back. Mainly a F550. But the problem was payload. I think you need a 33,000 lb truck to do much. Truck wt 10,000 lift 4000 container 3000 just guessing on the container end up with 17,000 tare wt if you used a 33,000 lb truck you would have...

    Compaction ?'s

Bob I'm going to try your method. That may be accurate enough for the times I'm talking about. The price of a DCP is higher than I thought they would be. A probe is much cheaper and should work fine. That is a good website. It doesn't really cover the DCP test. I don't want to get into...
