    Field repair

It is a showery day here in Australia so as I wait for the auto electrician to come and find out what is wrong with my tractor (2018 Case IH 105C) I happened to read kshansens comment about working with a bloke who had spent some time in Southeast Asia. Your story, KS, reminded me of this...

1985 fiat allison 14 TE bulldozer

Hi Denese, It would be good if you knew the serial number of your dozer to help find the correct manuals. Look for an identification plate attached to the dozer, probably similar to the one below. It would help to post a few photos, both of the identification plate and some of the machine itself.

    Overload of the Day

Hello Old Doug, just my imagination joining the dots here, but I do find that piece of trivia fascinating. MacArthur's headquarters after escaping with his family and staff from the Philippines was in Brisbane, where he was Supreme Commander of the Southwest Pacific. During WW2, our previously...

    Tips for operating a dozer

I do not claim to be in any way shape or form an operator, however for what it is worth here is my understanding of how things work. 1. When you are pushing material in a forward motion, your tracks run on the surface your blade leaves. Therefore the area between your blade and your idler, on a...

    Overload of the Day

When I was young, about 10 years of age, our family was friends, and for a while farming partners, with our local veterinary surgeon and his family. Fred, the vet, was a wonderful man, memorable for the way he could fool us kids and make us laugh at the same time, as well as being a great vet...

    Fiat allis FD9 -

I am sure you will find your parts, either in "the land of the free and the home of the brave”, or elsewhere in the world. Fiat Allis dozers are widely used in Australia, not so much for commercial earthmoving, but more so in agriculture and pastoral enterprises. Australian Fiat Allis parts...

Highest Dozer Productivity Building the Spoils Pile

Rod, I have had a similar, though smaller dam to what you describe, (all excavation and no wall) built a few of years ago and am planning another of similar design, (by necessity, not by choice). On the next dam I have to decide where to put the spoil also, so I am interested to see the replies...

Looking for source of undercarriage parts for Fiat-Allis 8B in USA.

Ridenby, I believe Queenslander is once again on the money with his suggestion. GB Ricambi / CGR Ghinassi of Italy is a supplier to Australian Importers of Fiat Allis parts. Hope American Crane and Tractor can find the parts for you and be sure to spread the word in USA if you are successful.

Looking for source of undercarriage parts for Fiat-Allis 8B in USA.

I am not sure about Southern Tractor of Florida USA, their website claims to supply new parts including Fiat Allis. I have a Fiat Allis 10C and have found the three Australian companies listed below very helpful in supplying parts, which they source from Italy no trouble. They also distribute...

    Wanting to contact Scrub Puller

In my imagination I can see Scrub hooked up to one or two other dozers by chain, incredible noise of the machine, dust, heat, crashing timber and trying to keep himself, workmates and machines safe with the 2 way radio as the lifeline. I can also imaging that "Yair" coming over the crackle and...
