New to me JCB 208s (1CX), multiple issues

Hi Leandros. The JCB 1CX does not have a clutch, it's a hydrostatic machine which uses hydraulic pumps and motors to drive the machine. You need to have someone with experience in hydrostatic systems to take a look at the machine. You could also have electrical problems as well.

    NIGE

Not just any entertainer, that’s Ronnie Barker in his fabulous TV series “Open all hours”. Have a look for this show on YouTube. “G-g-Granville get your cloth” was a memorable catchphrase

    NIGE

Nige, like tctractors, is a guy I would be honoured to have sort out issues with my equipment. I don’t have any Cat equipment so I don’t need Cat support. But for Cat owners having Nige on this forum is a bonus that I would say exceeds any support Cat could offer. And he is such a gentleman as...

    EV

I think the battery life on some of the Janus trucks was around 500 km which is a decent distance on logging roads in Australia. Contrary to what was seen on the video, most of the logging areas in Australia are in mountainous country with some very basic roads. Lots of regen opportunity. Most...

    Seriously upsetting

Yes there are way too many people on the planet if they all want to live the life of those in developed countries. There is not enough food, water, fossil fuels, land to maintain everyone in the lifestyle of the average US, European or Australian citizen. The cheapest and easiest fuels to...

    Tight spot concrete demo

I find the easiest way to remove concrete is have a concrete cutter come in with his gear and cut it into whatever sizes your machine can manage. This means less backache for you and someone else's gear takes the wear and tear. This is especially the case with large slabs where a concrete cutter...

    Joystick buttons

Thanks for all the feedback guys and I have found a solution :) First I researched the hell out of buttons on the Internet and found one manufacturer that makes all kinds of buttons with some similar to what I needed so I knew there was an answer out there. I noticed some JCB joysticks used a...

    Joystick buttons

Bumping this one up as the button issue is a real problem. I have three joysticks on my Haulotte with multiple buttons front and rear. They're all common Rexroth brand joysticks as per photo below. You would think a simple and inexpensive wear part like this would be readily available for...

    EV

Australia has large reserves of lithium and a highly efficient mining sector. Already contracts to supply Tesla, Ford and other companies have been written. There are also a range of other battery technologies being developed such as zinc bromide, which are more suited to stationary use freeing...

2005 jcb mini cx breaker hammer

I assume you have a JCB 1CX? I also assume you have auxiliary lines on the backhoe end? If so you can use a breaker hammer that runs at 40-45 litres and isn’t too heavy. You also need a return to tank valve on your machine for the return line. Some models have this and some don’t. If it doesn’t...

Just heard about a diesel shortage?

You can choose to buy from China if you like but we have a manufacturer here in Australia, you have a number of manufacturers of solar PV in the USA so you can choose to keep the money in your own country if you like and not send it to Asia. Also 90% of solar PV cells made globally use using...

Just heard about a diesel shortage?

First be careful where you source your facts from. Large solar PV arrays don't cause warmer temps around them unless you're comparing them to a forest. Simple physics will explain this. In fact testing on Australian farmland with sheep grazing below and around the panels has shown to be...

Just heard about a diesel shortage?

With a global market for diesel and high demand from countries seeking to replace Russian fuel, the free market will look for the maximum profit which can be made. Even though some on this forum doubt electric vehicles there’s no disputing that the more electric vehicles there are, especially...

JCB 1CX - Have you used one?

Hi Adrenal. There are a lot of variables as to what slope or sideslope the 1CX can handle. The 1CX has quite a low centre of gravity and can handle a reasonable sideslope if the ground is solid. But this would decrease in softer ground as the downhill side tyres would sink in more increasing...

    Right to Repair

You would also know what sort of crop farmers had over the entire country, state by state county by county right down to the farm gate. If you're wanting to target your sales of whatever farmers need, you'll want to start with those who have the most cash and able to buy. This is especially...

Just When You Think You've Seen It All...

Hi Pete. It's happening over here in Australia in your lifetime as mentioned above with Kenworth trucks converted to battery electric with quick battery change stations changing battery packs in the time it takes to have a cup of coffee. See...

    I would hire this guy

Impressed me too. Every move was efficient, effective and easy on the dozer. A lot of operators could learn from this example.
