    980B driveline vibration

Thanks for the tip on releasing any driveline preload. So a few of you have warned me that the rear yolk is a slip on and can fall off. Is there any reason that I can not just pull the yolk off before test driving without the rear driveshaft?

    980B driveline vibration

I do believe many guys run 29.5-25 tires on 980B loaders. This one however only has 26.5-25 on it. I definitely would prefer the 29.5-25. So I took a look at the U-joint timing. They definitely are not in line as shown in Nige's photo. Heres a few photos of the current orientation. You guys...

    980B driveline vibration

Hey guys thanks for all the quick replies! I appreciate all the advice. The serial number is 89P5094 The tires on it are 26.5-25. I cant recall the type but they're not overly worn. It definitely doesn't feel/sound like a tire problem, its got to be somewhere in the driveline. I'm going to...

    980B driveline vibration

I bought a cat 980B last year and it has a bad sound/vibration when roading it. The guy before said it did it as long as he had it. But he never looked into it as he just kept it in the pit. About half throttle in 3rd is when you really start to notice it. It does it in both 3rd and 4th. I...

Bobcat S205 losing rpms and stalling

Hi I have a 2007 bobcat S205 with about 2000 hrs. Owned it for a year and had no problems until last night. I was cleaning snow for about 1.5 hours last night in -25*c. Ran perfect for the first 1.5 hours and then started feeling like it was losing power (engine power). I kept running it for a...

    John Deere 644B losing power

Hi, just an update for everybody. Found and fixed the problem. It was the injection pump. I took it apart and the "flex seal" or whatever its called between the weight basket, was totally gone. It broke apart into pieces, and plugged up some fuel passages. I replaced it with a solid weight cage...

    John Deere 644B losing power

Ok I replaced all the rubber fuel lines tonight. Bled the system again. Fired right up no problem, seemed to be running good.... until it warmed up a bit, then back to the same problem. I put a tee in before the injection pump with a pressure/vacuum gauge. The lift pump is supplying a steady...

    John Deere 644B losing power

The filters are changed. That was an old photo. Took a look in the tank and there doesn't look to be anything floating around which could block the fuel pickup. Today it won't even stay running. Starts good, revs up, then back down and slowly dies. Since I got it, it's always done that where...

    John Deere 644B losing power

Hey thanks for the reply's. Ya the glass filter is still in play, and that's an electric lift pump behind the bracket. Lift pump sounds like its working, bit can't say for sure. In this photo neither fuel filter had been changed yet. Fuel system goes like this - Fuel tank pickup, rubber line...

    John Deere 644B losing power

Ya it definitely seems like it. What's the purpose of changing the rubber lines if they aren't leaking? Here's a picture of the setup

    John Deere 644B losing power

It does have a lift pump. And has all rubber lines between the pickup and injection pump. The engine won't pull rpms when this loss of power happens. Even in neutral.

    John Deere 644B losing power

Thanks for the reply's. I pulled the fuel pickup out of the tank. There's no screen, and I don't think there ever could have been. Here's what it looks like. I blew through the lines and they don't seem blocked at all. What else should I be looking at?

    John Deere 644B losing power

Hi I have a 197? John Deere 644B loader. Overall the machine runs pretty good but it started having an issue a few years ago that is getting worse. The machine randomly loses power when running it. To the point where it won't even push into a pile. It will be running great one minute and then...

    Looking to buy Dynahoe 490.

It's not to bad as long as your on flat ground. Mine doesn't want to move when put in gear until you give it some throttle, which helps. I should really get around to fixing my brakes though.

    Looking to buy Dynahoe 490.

I have a Dynahoe 190 with the 3-53. So far it has been a great machine, but I also have no brakes. When I got it, the brakes worked, but have slowly faded away to nothing. It doesn't bother me much as I only use the machine on my own property. I haven't looked into it much but everything else...

Battery Specs for a Detriot 3-53 in a Backhoe?

I just purchased the machine this summer so the coldest I have started it so far is -15 C (5 F). It does get down to -40 C here, but I don't plan on running it below much below -15

Battery Specs for a Detriot 3-53 in a Backhoe?

Just to answer your original question. I have a Dynahoe 190 with the 3-53 Detroit. Mine has a dual battery setup. Even with the dual batteries, when its cold it cranks pretty slow and needs a shot of ether.

    Pictures of your Backhoe!!!!!

Nice machines guys. Here is my new to me 1973 Dynahoe 190. I haven't used it much yet but it appears to be a very tough machine. The guy I bought it from had got it running after it sat for many years. There is still a few small problems I need to fix but she should be moving dirt in a couple...
