    Not sur to be proud or embarrassed, 5 days to get that left housing ut of the machine . I had to machine up 3 custom pulling devices to get the hi low shifter out . All the shafts were seized tight and heat or hammer would not remove the pins or linkage . Looks like all we need is the front...

    Several have posted here about this job being performed on their machines but none have mentioned this issue of actually removing the cover once the 3 bolts have been removed . My manual has a step by step but it also makes no mention of this issue. I must be missing something here ....

    HI ALL , NEBIE here to site , have read everything on site about working on the case 450 (1978 )brakes . Setting in the cab the left brake ,I cannot pull the cover out . It appears the high , low shift lever must be pulled . Any experience is greatly appreciated . Tx. Ed
