    Mack CL350 ST logging truck

    About 1977 while laid-off from my regular driving job at ERT I went to Menzies Bay to drive. The dispatcher sent me for a load with Roy Maars. I knew Roy from the golf course. He let me drive once we were loaded and I then went on an older hdx which I think was H 219. Roy was a fine gentleman.

    Thanks for your reply. In post 113 of the BCFP thread there is another orange hdx with different guarding again on top of the water tank. It also seems to have a box behind the battery box. Picture says Narrows Inlet.

    In BCFP post #2169 picture #1 6-248 has a hydraulic tank mounted in the driver side water tank ladder. This is the same as the truck in BCFP post #2233 picture #2. In Vancouver Island B.C.     That is what we called "the million dollar bridge" over the Klinaklini River. It was constructed using laminated beams and was said to cost BCFP one million dollars in the 1960's. Instead of 100 ton loads I believe it will only handle highway truck sized loads now.

    I think you will find that this truck is 6-278 which was ERT #28 purchased in 1977 or 78 It had a 12v-71 n and a 6061 Allison with 91000 100 inch clarks. It was driven by a fine gentleman named Jake Derksen until his retirement
