Rolloff Dump Trailer Pictures. Roll Off

There are a lot of trailer builders that build roll off trailers, and are welding d-rings on the front crossmembers on the rolloff boxes for hooking a winch cable to. They are only welded 2 to 3". D-rings are only made for securing a load with a chain, not for winching loaded rolloff boxes. I...

Rolloff Dump Trailer Pictures. Roll Off

20ft rolloff with 2 x 16k axles. Box is 20ft x 7ft tall 38.9yds. Rolloff HD flat deck is 22ft long. Seen many cheaper built units that use a D-ring that is welded 2" to 3" to the front cross member of the boxes, for hooking up a winch cable. Kind of cringe at that one.

Has anyone seen this twin steer tow truck

This wrecker was built in Los Angeles area between 1986 & finished in 1990. The truck was sold through a auction, I think around 1996 or 1997 back east through a dealer. There was a newspaper clipping from a towing paper showing it setting a 180,000lb railcar back on the tracks with some help of...

    Rolloff vs hooklift truck

I seen that when I was in Oregon. It is a chain drive system with a hook adapted to it. I only seen this in Washington & Oregon. I think the boxes slide on the frame rails, (steel to steel), instead of side rollers to roll the box on.

Has anyone seen this twin steer tow truck

Twin steer was only seen on cranes or oil rigs. Did not see on trucks in California. Seen a lot in Canada in 1991.

    Rolloff vs hooklift truck

Some people like the hooklifts, because of you do not have to get out of your truck to hook up. But you still have to get out to open the rear doors to dump. There is more wear on the hydraulics on a hooklift (pump, valve, cylinders, hoses & pto) because of the higher oil pressure, almost...
