    Komatsu pc18mr bad blow by

I don't remember. I just googled it. And if you're replacing the lift pump, it's just mounted on the side of the machine. 2 wires and 2 hoses. Easy.

    Terex tb60

Unfortunately in the time it was sitting; it no longer wants to move or boom up or out. Something electrical is going on. So I sold it this Monday it's someone else's headache now.

    CAT 299D - Engine Fuel Leakage 1 - Error Code 1239-1

Oh, so make sure fuel is being pumped out of the lift pump, and then just go from there, could be something as simple as the primary fuel filter is clogged lol

    CAT 299D - Engine Fuel Leakage 1 - Error Code 1239-1

So the pre filter is clean. Did you pull the suction line from the tank and see if it's flowing? I had an issue on my old 277b (Perkins) where the pickup tube was rusted and when the fuel get too low, it starts picking up air.

    CAT 299D - Engine Fuel Leakage 1 - Error Code 1239-1

What does the sight glass on the pre filter going to the lift pump look like? Also I had a blockage on the inlet coming from the tank. I would blow the fuel back into the tank, and it would be cleared for usually at least a year, then occasionally it would just plug back up, I would blow it out...

    Terex tb60

I purchased this 1997 terex tb60 basket case knowing the basket controls won't talk to the ground station due to water damage... It ran like garbage and it wouldn't run unless you jump the starter and bypass the anti-diesel solenoid on the carb... I replaced the main multiplexer board in the...

Ford LRG-425F ignition control module pin schematic

Absolutely that all makes sense. However how does it know when cranking to fire 1 and 4 instead of 2 and 3 banks

Ford LRG-425F ignition control module pin schematic

Yes but there are 2 banks of coils. One for 1+4 and another for 2+3, Call them bank 1 and 2, if it starts firing on bank 1 when it's at the bottom of the intake stroke, won't that be firing 180 degrees out of phase? Unless it starts on bank 2 this hurts my head. I'm sure it's simple.

Ford LRG-425F ignition control module pin schematic

Ironically I'm also working on a 98 terex tb60 with the same miserable engine. I have a question regarding the old 10 pin universal ignition system.... Seeing as it has 2 banks of coils for a wasted spark system.... How does it know where the engine is if it only has a crank sensor and no cam...

299d2 slow track speed when hot

Will do, should I also check the engine speed knob on the right column below the computer? Because that's what we're using to hold the engine speed. I'll try and check the part number on the floor pedal when we get done. It's 100 outside right now

    299d2 emissions computer not communicating

Not to dig up an old thread, but in case someone has this issue where its not communicating with the scr pump system... My machine had an online fuse that powered the pump assembly and computer, it was corroded and sorta allowing some power through. Cleaned and replaced, now it works.

299d2 slow track speed when hot

Hmm, that all makes sense except the commanded and actual engine rpm are keeping up, it'll damn near kill the engine if you plunge into a pile of dirt, dial back the track motor speed to a crawl, then start spinning the tracks or push the material, whichever comes first. The parking brake is...

299d2 slow track speed when hot

machine: 2017 cat 299d2 MDH04684 1980hrs I maybe chasing my tail here but my machine is slowing down about 30% of track speed when the engine and hyd. Oil gets hot (200 engine, 150 hyd) according to the track motor speed sensors, it'll be 3200 or so normally but slows down to 2650 or so when...

17 cat 299d2 crank no start.

Wow. What a mess. So when I originally dropped the machine off, I told them it had a new pump but I didn't time it. They instantly pulled my new pump and replaced it with a used but known good working pump in time. The called and said it needed a new pump; something about since I did set the...

17 cat 299d2 crank no start.

Interesting find. I do have the manual for it but didn't see that part. Wonder if they did that

17 cat 299d2 crank no start.

Ok, so the dealer said since I installed the pump out of time it messed it up... I don't believe this seeing as out of time wouldn't matter since it just wouldn't inject fuel. The way this injection system works is the pump works like an old element style pump, except instead of having a...

17 cat 299d2 crank no start.

UPDATE I took the whole machine down to the main cat store in houston to borrow one of their good ECM's for testing. Unfortunately this didnt help at all. It still didnt run. I no longer have the machine in my posession however i will hopefully have some updated info in the next week. Ill keep...

17 cat 299d2 crank no start.

That snip was a reference to what they call the fuel pump and it's associated wires. Any idea where I can get an ecm tested at lol. It's weird to not have any codes and the only thing not working is the pump signal wires.

17 cat 299d2 crank no start.

I've verified that the ground and signal is making it to the computer on all pins. I guess the computer has died? Seems like and expensive fix just to find out. I did however manage to limp it out of the field with an external power supply. https://youtube.com/shorts/Hpr7_hbBzts?feature=share

17 cat 299d2 crank no start.

Upon further inspection, It appears the orange wire is ground, and the black or gray wire on the top of the pump is the signal.... the orange ground is also shared to the pressure regulator on the rail. The other line for the regulator or (press. relief drvr.) as its called, is pin 70. Im...
