    growing pains

I would go for an impact crusher, myself, they are simple and virtually indestructible. It would smash the wood up, the aluminium would not be a problem and it would also produce more fines than a cone crusher, if you were looking for fines to bind the finished product. I do not think abrasion...

    Hyundai Wheel Loaders.

Thanks for the feedback, tylermckee and TrentNZ, that is very encouraging and confirms the impression I have been getting with Hyundai equipment. We are currently running Komatsu loaders and are reluctant to change, but Komatsu have let us down very badly with their back up. The...

    Hyundai Wheel Loaders.

Thanks for the reply, AKSNOW, it is very helpful. We are considering trading up to a 760-9 and I am interested in hearing other people's experiences, good or bad, before we make a decision. RnR.

    Hyundai Wheel Loaders.

I would be interested to hear of members experiences with Hyundai Wheel Loaders, particularly the HL760-9 and what they think about Hyundai Equipment in general. Hyundai have an established dealership here in Adelaide now and are another contender in the earthmoving field. The feedback so...

    Victory Loader

That's interesting, intouch, I know with that loader I put the photo up of, the Victory mob were quite helpful at the time, when a mate of mine was trying to sort out a couple of issues with it. I haven't heard lately, how it's going. Are they selling the same loaders that they were selling...

    140H in the outback

Half your luck, I do like that country up there. Our daughter lives in Tennant Creek, so we get to see a bit of it. I worked for a few months on Beetaloo Station, laying poly pipe for a water scheme they had going there, then grading station roads, with an old 12E of course and punching tracks...

    Ford A-66 specs and parts?

I will if I can find them, I shifted some files around on my computer and they are not where they are supposed to be, when I went to find them. As for purchasing a Ford loader, they were a good loader in their day, but it really depends on the condition of the machine, they are quite old now...

    Tanksinking

Interesting thread Scrub. You mentioned Ilfracombe, we went through there last year and if you have seen the museum there, it is incredible. There are a couple of tank sinking outfits in the museum, the only difference is, they are real scoops, not scraper/scoops.

    Vintage Caterpillar Sale

It hasn't been sold yet Mitch, the sale is next Friday. I tried to get Grandpa to tell me how much he wants me to bid on it, but you know Grandpa, he's still got his lunch money from his first day at school. I guess he will just have to keep the photo and look at that. RnR.

    Vintage Caterpillar Sale

This clearing sale coming up at Bordertown, in the south east of South Australia, on the 28th of November, is rather unique, for the amount of vintage crawlers that are for sale. It is very rare here, to have as much vintage equipment in one sale...

    Ford A-66 specs and parts?

The specs have been sent racer, my apologies for the delay, I saw your request here and then forgot about it. I can’t help you with the engine torque and clearance specs, but someone here on HEF may be able too. RnR.

    Dealership - New Website Opinions

Nick, that is a very good website, it is simple, easy to use, good quality photos of your trucks and equipment and plenty of them, you are obviously serious about what you do. The photos actually loaded quite fast for me. If I was to make any comment at all, just slow down a little on the...

    Victory Loader

A farmer here bought a Victory loader earlier in the year and a mate of mine fitted a hydraulically driven slasher to the loader arms, for slashing salt bush. He was quite impressed with it, they did quite a lot of salt bush slashing and the farmer uses it for loader work as well, as far as I...

    some link belt action

That's interesting CD. We run five Volvo trucks, three main ones and couple of older roughies, but they just keep on working. We recently bought what is called an FM 12, which also runs the d12 engine, rated at 420 hp, with Volvo gearbox and Volvo diffs. It has all air bag suspension, truck...

    some link belt action

CD, what engine and running gear does your Volvo have in it? The Volvo trucks here have all Volvo engines, gearboxes and diffs. I wish they supplied a conventional cab truck here, but they phased the last of them out quite a few years ago and only have cab over trucks. There is nothing wrong...
