    Anyone own a Takeuchi TB135?

I think we found the problem. Found the wire harness where it goes behind the motor, right below the starter, was chaffed. Found a couple other places as well. If you own a tak, keep an eye on your harness, I can't be the only one.

    Anyone own a Takeuchi TB135?

Sorry to bump up an old thread, but I hate to start a new one. My tb135 won't start. I have 12v to the key switch, 12v out of the switch, but no dash lights, no starter, no fuel pump. Talked to the dealer and they haven't been any help. My mechanic says there must be an ignition relay that...

    Operating during fire season

You can build up soot/carbon in the exhaust that can create enough heat to start a fire when it gets shook loose and ejected in the exhaust. NMst machines have built-in spark arrestors, make sure yours is intact. Dry chem extinguishers (powder) are fine, but must be ABC, not just BC. BC can...

    Trojan 1500z

I ended up buying the old girl. I think I can make something of it, and I bought it right. Engine kit is $931.00 on Ebay, looks like a straightforward fix there. Just need to find some sheetmetal or make my own as the fenders are punky in places. This place looks like a good resource as...

    Trojan 1500z

Thanks Geoff. I'm still doing a bunch or reading and browsing, here and elsewhere on the pro-cons.

    Trojan 1500z

I'm looking at buying a Trojan 1500z that needs new heads (Deutz). Owner took the heads off two years ago and never got around to replacing them. Are parts an issue? I like the size of the 1500 and am not afraid of having to fix it up as I can buy the loader right. Anything to be worried...

    Trojan loader any good

I'm looking at a 1986 1500Z that needs new heads. Are heads still available? I'm not worried about fixing anything as long as parts are out there.

    Allis Chalmers TL series

I have a TL14 that is currently down for repairs. We are swapping the 24 starter to 12 volt (did that yesterday), took the factory fuel filters off (they leak nonstop) and put a single spin on fuel filter in its place. Now I have to find a way to build a bracket for the alternator. We took...

    Disc Harrow for Finishing

I would recommend smooth, as well as perhaps a drag style rather than 3pth. The drag will follow contours better and won't break disks in tight turns. I have a couple chain pasture harrows that I use by hanging them from my bucket on the excavator and spinning in a circle. Does a nice job of...

    SCORE! EZ Screen 1000

Still have it, used it yesterday. I bought a conveyor that I'm working on putting wheels and a hopper on so it can sit underneath. All the loam/gravel etc would then be sent out and i can screen with just the excavator, no loader. I had an issue with the fuel, so I swapped tanks. Looks...

    American Loggers

The mill deal is not dead. They got a 60 day extension and the state held a hearing the other day on taking over the hazardous waste dump on the property to make the deal a little sweeter. Someone will buy it.

    American Loggers

Most of the gates are manned part of the day, for trucks only. I know the one at St. Zachery and St. Aurelie you have to have a pass to get through. Been to both, neither allow you to cross w/o a permit, commercial use only. The big maple outfits are all near the end of the Golden Road on the...

what makes a detroit run away?

I've never had a Detroit run away on me, yet. Couldn't you grab a fuel filter and either unscrew it or shut off the fuel/crack a fuel intake to shut it down? Unless of course it's getting oil from elsewhere. I've had a few 3208's run in reverse, weird feeling to see exhaust pour from the...

    Harvesting spring wheat in Montana

Wow! Great pics. Not many grain farmers near my, the land just doesn't lend itself to grain farming. Love to see the pics and videos of the fields and equipment. Always wanted to go out West and see the process.

    dairy/compost update #2

Great pics, unique scenery there. Quite a composting operation, makes mine seem miniscule in comparison.:o

Can some explain how this happens?

Is that the former Masonic Hall that burnt in Bangor Maine a few years back? Looks like the fire they had but hadn't seen pics in a while.

    Home Made Loam/ Soil Screener

The bottom screen on my EZ Screen I made out of expanded metal. Easy to get hold of and held up real well considering. You'll need a top screen/grizzly to protect it, but that's easy enough to make.
