    Tracking down hydraulic oil leak

There's a bunch of hoses in there for the boom so you'll have to clean it up properly and run it to see which hose it is. The previous owner of my machine had to remove the boom to get to the one he blew. They ended up changing any hose in there that looked suspect.

    Tracking down hydraulic oil leak

Have a look under the machine for an access plate. My 138FR has one so the 153 should. Might give you a better look. As for topping up the oil you should be good. Adam.

    Repairing Leaking Lift Ram

I had a lift ram let go due to a damaged gland nut. I had to replace both the gland nut and all the seals. It's a pretty easy job and I have attached a few pictures. Cheers.

Takeuchi TB138FR broken boom connecting link

It was air arc gouged then re-welded so there isn't really anything different to the factory weld except it was done correctly this time. I'm painting it tonight and fitting it in the morning so I'll let you know how it goes.

    Repairing creeping Bobcat

I'd also like to add that when I was doing up the bolts in the torsion bushes I nipped them up then backed off the bolt just enough to allow the bolt to turn in the bush and locked it up with the lock nut. This way the bush isn't twisting every time you move the levers. All my torsion bushes...

    Repairing creeping Bobcat

I've just redone my 751 but I also had to change both bell cranks and the bushings for them. I found the whole job fairly straight forward and I was surprised by the price of the pintle arms and bell cranks, 46 AUD each for the arms and 130 AUD each for the bell cranks. Changing the bell cranks...

Bobcat 751 Peugeot, looking for parts source

I have priced a timing belt, tensioner and pulley from Bobcat at $1000 AUD but I can get the same from Lymm Engine Components for 65 pounds plus postage. How does the quality stack up against Bobcat. Cheers. Adam.
