JD 410 backhoe, brass flakes in stroke control housing

Well I'm glad to hear the shop isn't lying to me. I cleaned everything in the stroke control housing and reassembled it with no change in pressures. 1900-2000psi at idle with no functions being operated. 1450-1600psi when running functions with no load on them. This is with the stroke control...

JD 410 backhoe, brass flakes in stroke control housing

I have a straight JD 410 backhoe I am working on for my neighbor and am having hydraulic trouble with it. All functions work but are weak and slow. I have replaced the tranny sump filter, as well as both cartridge hydraulic filters. I have checked the trans filter relief valve, as well as the...

Case 85XT won't move. Loader hydraulics work fine, no warning lights

Thanks for the picture. Wires going to the switch indicating parking brake operation have been cut. The seat bar, and seat switch green LED indicators are lit up, and seem to be working properly. Someone broke the screw holding the plug onto the solenoid (number 25) in the picture you posted...

Looking for tapered cone lug nuts for a Case 60XT

Thank you, 2 different Case dealers told me that those were not available and that flange nuts were the only option . Thanks again.

Looking for tapered cone lug nuts for a Case 60XT

Got a 60XT here with aftermarket wheels on it, they are setup for a tapered cone lug nut, instead of the standard flange style nut. I have searched high and low for an M16x2.0 tapered cone lug nut for this thing, and cannot find them anywhere. Anybody got any ideas on where to look? I know...

Case 85XT won't move. Loader hydraulics work fine, no warning lights

Got an 85xt that won't travel forward or backwards. Loader hydraulics function as they should. There is no moaning or noises to indicate that the brakes are stuck on and it's trying to drive through them, it's as if the machine isn't even trying to move. Every once in a while it will briefly...

What are you guys doing with the old/used rubber tracks you are taking off your machines? Throwing them in the dumpster, selling them, etc? Thanks for the help.

Terex TB44 Manlift intermittent control problem

Sounds good, thanks guys. When it dries up a little around here I will start to use the machine again, and pay attention to the LEDs, as well as get a new master switch for it.

Terex TB44 Manlift intermittent control problem

By master I mean the rotary switch that can crank the motor over.

Terex TB44 Manlift intermittent control problem

Machine is a Terex TB44 man lift. The problem I am having with this machine is that the controls in the basket will intermittently stop responding/not work at all. When the controls do fail, the functions on the ground control panel all work fine. When the controls are dead in the control...

    komatsu rubber track loaders

All of the Komatsu skidsteers, mini X's, and small wheel loaders run Yanmar engines. They are branded as Komatsu, but definitely Yanmar. While I have not run anything from 2009-2010, the 2008 models and down are definitely Yanmar powered. I can't believe Komatsu is going to stop skidsteer...

    Case 430 controls won't unlock

Turned out to be a broken wire. The 12V, constant hot wire going to the seat switch was broken. Outer insulation looked fine, inner wire was corroded. Replaced the wire and the machine works fine again. Thanks for the suggestions.

    Case 430 controls won't unlock

Speeding the engine up did not change anything. I installed a new dash this morning, and it still did not fix the problem. It did resolve a grid heater issue I was having so at least it wasn't money down the drain. I am getting wiring diagrams this afternoon and tracing down the problem...

    Case 430 controls won't unlock

I was hoping that wasn't a possibility, but afraid that it could be. This machine has 1700 hours on it. If the control panels are known to fail that could definitely be it. I will do a little more poking around today on it, and post up what I find, or what it takes to fix it. Thanks for...

    Case 430 controls won't unlock

I just got a Case 430 in the yard a few weeks ago that has been working flawlessly for me. Went to move it yesterday and it starts up fine, but the (P) button to unlock the controls doesn't do anything. Usually when I first sit in the machine (without turning the key) the control panel...
