    966F II issue?

it's a series flow valve, tilt should have priority over lift if both levers activated fully

wow, pure summing... my brain just took a trip down memory lane.

    Rebuilding Excavator pilot controls

not sure why that reference is talking about marking the hoses, no reason to remove the valves from the consoles to just reseal the upper plungers- can do that right in the cab. Just make sure the hyd tank is vented.

Weak final drive on cat 311B excavator

^ good way to isolate pump issue from valve/motor issue if it isn't a pump, don't forget about the swivel, and then control issues -are both travel vales getting full pilot pressure F and R, - is the cab floor clean around the pilot levers, and then are both motors shifting rabbit/turtle...

    336elh hyd problem

yeah - it sure looks like a rexroth sort of cartridge shuttle valve - I'd be pulling that out and checking/replacing the orings on it and seeing if the shuttle ball inside is good. Looks like it resolves signals from one side or the other to the load check- it might be passing oil through from...

    336elh hyd problem

I think you're in the right area looking at the load check because two spools need to move to curl the bucket, the Bucket pump-to-cylinder head end spool, and the Bucket cylinder-to-tank rod end spool. They both seem to be drained along a common passage below the load check- maybe that passage...

check pilot pressure on that 325.

    New midsize Sany75

could be a flow compensator in the valve - a broken spring, or the little spool sticking in the bore or some debris in it. I'd like to see the schematic though to see if there's any sort of drift reduction or pilot operated lock valves in the stick circuit. Also check and make sure you don't...

    Cat 420D fuel injection pump

you want more power for the loader end? or back end? If the backhoe, you probably wouldn't notice it without also making adjustments to the torque limiter on the pump. The torque limiter is factory set to engine HP. It won't attempt to pull more power out of the engine just because the engine...

love the smell of diesel in the morning

welcome! and I get the expression - cool! But like others, when considered literally- I developed a sensitivity. I can't even follow a school bus anymore- I'll have a headache all day if I get a whiff of diesel in the morning. I guess my cup got full back in the days of poorly ventilated shops.

    Loader overheating

sure. doubt it's warranty. Most brands don't cover the rad under powertrain warr. A defective thermostat can occasionally put extra stress on a radiator. Pulses of super hot coolant from a reluctant stat can cause solder joints to have to flex more than intended.

Bobcat 331 table gets stuck in one spot.

we had a similar size Bobcat where the slewing lock pin would catch - I can't remember if something was just unthreading.

Cat 320B Hydro and electrical problems need help!!

you view active codes on one service mode "channel" and logged codes on another "channel" so shouldn't be any confusion about what's which. The main computer is beside the seat on the cab floor - behind operator's right heel. The machine schematic identifies all the pin-out's and wire...

Cat 320B Hydro and electrical problems need help!!

sounds like you are on the right track. The speed sensing does indeed only matter in speed dial 10. If you run in speed dial 9 - the PRV pressure to the pumps is constant. It only varies to control HP load in dial 10. Check the speed pickup with an ohmmeter. Should read 110 to 280 ohms. And...

    IT28B fuel issues. Help!

any chance of water in the fuel - if sleeves are rusted and sticking you may want to go in there before trying too hard to get it started - don't want a runaway.

    Micro Leakage Hydraulic testing

of course a lot of components drift and leak internally when at operating temp. He is testing everything stone cold. The more I watch it the worse it gets and it's making me angry.. lol Over confident salesman playing the role of a tech and it's just wrong. time for me to get off the internet...

    Micro Leakage Hydraulic testing

and overglasses hanging 2 inches off his cheeks? Wouldn't a guy that is serious about safety invest in some real prescription safety glasses? I'm glad he has them on (many youtube videos **** me off with no eye protection) but I wouldn't work on hydraulics with that poor level of eye protection...

    Micro Leakage Hydraulic testing

That seems to be the case with everything I have ever seen from that guy, and with most of techs/engineers coming from the industrial sector to mobile hydraulics. They have a very illogical way of analyzing everything compared to the way mobile hydraulics are designed and work. I suppose...
