    JD 2010 whee loader

I bought a JD 2010 wheel loader last winter. Great old machine. Someone re-plumbed the bucket to run off a power take-off pump. I am looking for some info on where or how to plumb it off the internal hydraulics so I can put a blower on the back. I have the JD manuals but they don't have the...

    JD 2010 wheel loader

Put new battery cables on and nothing. I took the starter to another rebuilder. The first guy put on a new solenoid and painted it. Great! The inside were all burnt, another $105 and she should be running on Saturday. Hopefully the first rebuilder will be nice and give me my money back.

    JD 2010 wheel loader

Well I haven't gotten my first backhoe running, a Case 530. In the interim I bought a John Deere 2010 with a loader. It ran when I bought and drove it home 40 miles. I stalled it moving a snow bank. Now the old girl won't start. Rebuilt the starter, new ignition after the key broke in -35...

    My first backhoe - 580B

Phil It was the centre rear one. Sorry I haven't been around for a bit, busy at work and my son got married. Had a great wedding in St. Marten MB about 3 hours north of Winnipeg in the middle of nowhere. If you miss the gas station the next on is 5 1/2 hours away. I won't be working on the...

    My first backhoe - 580B

Yes it sure does. I bought a kit called Full Torque but don't have the room to enlarge the hole. Bought some Devcon Titanium putty to try. My only setback now is it has rained everyday since. I don't want to uncover the old girl and let the rain was some of the rust off. Son is getting...

    My first backhoe - 580B

Well I got the head on. While torqueing the last bolt would'nt you know it, it stripped the threads out of the block. After I was done cursing, almost crying, I had a couple beers put the tools away and went home. Damn I hate working in a field. Found a product called FullTorque which is a...

    My first backhoe - 580B

Well I tried to put the cylinder head on yesterday, it keeps catching on the water jacket gasket. I sure don't want to remove the timing cover to get it on. Replaced a bunch of hydraulic hose. Maybe later today the head will go on. I will take my daughter to help make sure I miss the...

    580B Filter and fluid question

It is amazing what one finds in filter housings. I just did all mine on my 530. Two inches of muck in the primary fuel, water and crap in the shuttle and the list goes on. Well those are done, some hyd lines being made up as we speak, the fire in the boom is out. OOOPs look out for leaves...
