when a crane touches a power line

I am very sorry to hear about this tragic loss. The sure fire way to make sure something is dead when the bossman swears it is dead is to hand him the cutting tool, be it bolt croppers, hacksaw, petrol cutter. If he aint got the balls to cut it then nobody else should.

    UK Demolition pictures

Great pics Andy. Saw a high reach arm of J.F Hunts south bound behind Gaywoods tractor unit (KANE GROUP ) on Thursday afternoon. Happened to mention it to one of the lads at work today and it transpires the machine was parked up in Toddington services overnight and I missed it. :Banghead...

LMFAO, I just clocked your signature :) Great pics by the way. I was doing similar today. Had 8 to move and load away that were acting as edge protection on a bridge excavation. I didnt think to get any pics though

    Wheeled excavators.

Many feel the same which is why good duck operators are rare. You could do a lot worse than getting as much seat time as possible any time you get a chance. As you get more comfortable and experienced you will find them a joy to operate and be suprised just what you can do with one. IMHO, but...

    cat939 ,good machine ?

939 thread I mentioned this to ian while chatting somewhere else. Does anybody else remember a thread on here about a year ago reference a Cat 939 that had possible bent loader arms. The owner was using it to dig direct from a face, load the spoil on a truck, run it to the fill area and tip...

    360 Volvo - Window Exploded

I had a very similar thing happen on a Poclain 75 many years ago. Frightened the ruddy life out of me and was extracting glass from my underwear for hours  Turned out the frame was not strong enough to withstand contact with .................the side cutter on the digging bucket :badidea

    Got a New toy

Due to a shortage of time the new quay we had built did not get used as we had not got rid of the muck that I had generated. It all got shaped back to canal profile to get the boat through. As a result we built a temporary landing stage that worked just as well. :) The other slight...
