I'm sorry that you have to run apportioned plates. but you still might check into the animal husbandry permit. contact me and I can give you the info I have on it. -

since you are in tx. you can use conservation plates and a animal husbandry permit for over weight. the permit is around $400 per yr. I'm allowed up to 102000lbs. I haul my d6t, I'm about 88-90,000lbs loaded. conservation plates allow for over width and over height but not overweight. -

a few years back we sold a 22000hr d6h that needed a motor overhaul and tranny overhaul plus a new uc., for $67500, but it was very well taken care of, it was super clean with a working ac and air ride seat. -

D6R won't decell sometimes.
Ok thanks will do. I've noticed that when the outside temp is warmer the worse it acts up. When it's cold outside it generally works pretty good. -

Mobiltech, it did store a code, it is not active but the code is 036-263.04. It worked pretty good today I only had an issue about 2 times but it corrected itself. Im beginning to wonder if its not the rabbit-turtle switch. It seems it might not be sending the right signal to the ecm. -

Thanks Mobletech, sometimes when it does this it sets off a service code, when you kill the engine and restart it all goes away and will run fine for a few minutes. It stores the code but does not come up as a service code. -

Well its been awhile since I've posted but I have a question about my D6R. I was wondering if anybody has had any trouble with the machine not wanting to decell. I put a new throttle pos. sensor on it and that didn't help. Sometimes when i can get it to decell with the pedal it won't accell back... -

WaterDoc, power steering hose was leaking and had to replace it, ac hose went bad, and the injector cups were leaking. -

Just an update. I have had a few performance problems with the truck, but TripleR has been willing to help to an extent. Nothing really major just a lot of little stuff, that I'm a little dissatisfied with. D6 -

prorate truck or just purchase comercial plates
I agree with Mitch, get a permit service to take care of this. You have to get apportioned tags, ifta permits, plus you have to keep track of each mile driven in each st. It is a real nightmare. -

open cabs why?
I'm with dozerboy all the way. A cab for me is the only way to go. This winter we had sub-zero temps and I'm sure this summer we will see 100+. -

Frustrated!!! D6R wont start
Oil was changed 135 hrs ago. The only codes are granny codes. I use cat deo 15-40. The machine has started great the last two days. -

Pete, I agree with the cat filters, it has never had a filter put on it but cat. I change both fuel filters every 250 hrs. It was 32 degrees this morning and it started on the first turn. -

3rdgen, I have the wires that your described but it says air temp sensor. I had Cat mech tell me it would be a cable about the size of a pencil. -

3rdgen, It is a c9 and has either assist, but it doesn't have a intake heater. Yesterday I finally got started but for about 20 seconds it only hit on 2 or 3 holes then finally picked all but one up. It sat there and missed for aprx. 3 minutes. Then after it warmed up all was good.
