    Use never sieze men

I use it religously on brake parts. The caliper bolts, lugnuts, and even on the face of the rotor to keep the aluminum wheels from sticking. It is essential here in the rust belt.

Check the scale on your plans

I always check the scale first when I look at plans. I use a standard aluminum scale to check. For estimating I use a Scale master, it has quite a few built in scales, and you can roll a known distance to create custom scales. Saves alot of headaches...

    Setting a Cemetary Monument?

I have used this trick for setting safes in stores. The safe ussually comes on a pallet. So you use a pallet jack, and crank it up, break the pallet out from under it. Then wheel it in position, put bags of ice under, and let it melt. When it is on the floor, cut the bag away with a utility...

There is one local to me, it hasn't moved in a few months, but it is surprisingly in good shape, and still makin' money.

How to take a bridge down in 3 minutes!

I'm impressed. I counted about 10 excavators at a minimum. 24 hours from last car to first car. That is an orchestra, and I am sure the super was busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest.

    Delivery truck custom made

That's a neat custom, but I gotta ask. Did you base this off a real truck? I looked at the pictures a few times, and it looked funny to me. Then it dawned on me. Every drywall truck I have been around, the crane base and turntable sit just behind the cab. Never seen one with the crane base...

    Chinese excavation oops!

My dad was in Shanghai when this happened, and got to see the aftermath. I have pictures somewhere that he took. Construction in China is much different than we have here. Timken built a new plant there, and my dad helped get it up and running. He told me about the landscaping. They had...

    ATTN. new spelling for HYDROLIC

In my position, the written word is half the battle. I have to send faxes, emails, and letters daily to owners, architects, subcontractors, and tradesmen. While I dreaded grammar in school, I now see it's merits. I may not be perfect, but I try my best to write, type, and talk in a...

    this made my day

You've never seen an offset, extended ear trenching bucket? They are especially handy for tight areas and installing 4" drainage tile. Mostly landscapers use them to mess up your parking lot subgrade.

Keeping Mice out of your equipment

Try mothballs. It works most of the time. Unless you have some really persistant mice.

Would you like to live in a house built on this?

If I was the homeowner, I would fire the GC right now. He let the masons build it that way, how do you think the rest of the house will be built.

Surprise find behind dash of 580SM!!!

Talk about being the only operator of a piece of iron. That would do it for me.

JLG to Discontinue Gradall Rear-Pivot Steer Telehandler Models

They are quitting production because the Gradalls last too long. That's a shame, because I don't believe the JLG's can match the capabilities of the Gradall's. On a tight jobsite, the Gradall can turn without moving the inside front tire. That means you only need the 40' to turn the machine...

Liebherr 885 lifts Komatsu 1250 out of WTC **video**

Pretty impressive. Now if they brought it out in one piece. That would have been awesome.

    movie set in my town

They are supposed to be headed to a little town south of me called Brewster. There is a large train yard there, they are supposed to film part of the movie there. The dates are coming up, or have already passed. Interesting how they film in so many different places.
