Opinions on Equipment Unlimited in Oklahoma

That looks like a logging machine in the background. I don't know much about Oklahoma, or logging for that matter, but I never though of Oklahoma as having a timber industry. Maybe in the eastern part of the state? That said, the video looked good.........it would be worth the trip to go see it...

    Operators too good to clean.

And thankfully nobody is addicted to sunflower seeds in our crew.

    Operators too good to clean.

The reason is that it packs in so hard, especially when you work in an out of water like we do, that it is a real chore if we don't do it every day.

    Operators too good to clean.

Yes, but it's only five times a week per operator.

I don't get quite so anal about dust in the cab, but absolutely no trash, and sweep out the excess dirt/mud on the floor. Tracks are shoveled every day at the end of the shift year round and we all grease and fuel then as well. They packed the trash in, they can pack it out. We have a 5 gallon...

Indeed, that was a first for me.

That's not a parameter that can be turned off with ET is it?.........Evidently not now that I think about it or you wouldn't have been using a resistor. Sometimes I don't think before speaking (typing)!

I would be fine with the seat switch if as soon as my weight was back on it all systems are go. The issue is that one must first toggle the forward/reverse switch to neutral, set the parking brake switch, then release the parking brake and toggle the direction before you can move. The time...

No I haven't yet, but I think it will be worth a try. If done with the machine off it may work.

Unfortunately, I would need help to determine what resistor-capacitor is needed. Or I guess I could go to Radio Shack and get an assortment, but I'd probably screw something up knowing me!

Here is another section of that same road in which after construction a spring lubricated the material and it slumped down onto the roadway. This photo shows where the hillside had sheared. We benched up onto it from below. The hoe was sitting on the bench when the entire bench began slipping...

Pretty amazing being able to build on that! This is the only time that we have used it. This hillside road was not originally constructed correctly with compaction from the bottom up, but rather just pioneered into the hill. This ground developed new springs after constructed and portions of...

Perhaps doing "that" might prevent and accident though.

I am not opposed to safety and reasonable measures to help situations and equipment become safer, but some of this stuff goes way to far, to the point where it causes an un-safe occurence. Example: Our D6T - It has the seat sensor that prohibits movement of the tractor unless it detects weight...

Do you run into situations where a product like Tensar geo-grid is used, and if so what are your impressions of it? Other than it is very expensive.

Nice looking work CM, and I agree; a loaded dump truck will find a bad spot. The nuke gauges are nice and way faster than the old cone and sand method if the proctor is good (probably dating myself there) especially for help with moisture content, but if you know your dirt you can pretty well...

Interesting and unfortunate. One thing different with Earthworks than GCS900 is that the calibration file must be imported into the site and published to the project library, and then to the machine. I understand that it can be exported to the machine remotely, but we haven't tried that and...
