    Cat 336el hydraulic problems

Yep, that's most likely from the broken check valve. Here's a pic I had saved.

    Cat 336el hydraulic problems

Take a look at the check valves I highlighted in post#10, most likely the upper has failed but change both while your in there.

CAT 313 Next gen Tilt bucket sensor?

If you use leica it's their tiltsensor and then the auto functions go from leica to the machine as commands, the machine doesn't need a sensor connected to it directly. But if you use Cat grade 2D or 3D it's a GS520 sensor you need.

    3054 engine 914g/IT14G Cat

Yep, that's a "low" speed machine also. Do you know if max engine speed was checked also? Qften that's overlooked but it makes a world of difference if the engine is missing a couple 100 rpms on top and the throttle cable tends to stretch over time. Spec is 2350rpm.

    3054 engine 914g/IT14G Cat

What's your serial? Basically a high speed machine has 2 motors and a low speed 1 motor. Dave's machine was a 1 motor setup ex factory and thus a low speed machine with creeper speed.

    CAT 3126B issue on startup.

Most 3126B engines have a checkvalve/fuel pressure regulator on the return port on the back of the head, very common for the oring seal on the plunger in that to go bad and that will manifest itself as extended cranking or stumbling for the first moments of running so check that first.

Cat 312C Spool Stuck In Control Valve

I'm guessing that's a piece of the snubber ring on the piston, you'll for sure find more damage inside cylinder. Give the spool a once over with some fine grit paper or lapping stone and you'll bre fine.

Cat 312C Spool Stuck In Control Valve

Most likely a piece of metal is jammed in there somewhere and my first guess would be that it came from the stick cylinder so start by removing the lines going to the cylinder and try looking into the openings. also remove the line reliefs and do the same thing. The side cover can also give some...

CAT 301.8 stick comes slowly in on its own

With the stick drift rate he showed in the movie I'm fairly certain that the leakage rate around the spools are of no relevance.

CAT 301.8 stick comes slowly in on its own

Here's my take, If you clearly hear a whoosing sound from the cylinder and not the main valve inside the machine then it's the cylinder seals even if it isn't drifting outwards. This is due to the fact that for the stick to drift out the stick cylinder rod has to go in and that would mean oil...

CAT 301.8 stick comes slowly in on its own

Internal leakage in the cylinder is the first thing to check. Stick out as much as possible with a full bucket in the air and shut the machine off and listen for oil bypassing the seals in the cylinder.

303.5 switch above wiper, any ideas?

Correct, saves you from getting slapped in the face by the wiper. For printing or posting small sections like this I use Windows own snipping tool, for complete schematica I just do it directly from Cat SIS.

    Vacuum Pump for Hydraulics

12V electric is the way to go, no need to have the service truck close to the machine or messing with inverters. Just a small pump with cig lighter adapter or alligator clips to hook on to the machines batteries.
