    D8K or D9N need advice!

Your problem with it smoking and fluttering could be a worn c spring dampener at the back of the injection pump in front of the governor, it helps smooth out the pump between lobes.

    D8H engine stuck

If its been sitting for 9 years and water has got in I highly doubt that you would free it up. As Nige said I would wip the heads of and have a look and make an assessment whether to carry on. Whatever you do it's going to be a fairly big job so tool up and good luck. Bill

NH 650 round baler twine issues

G'day 200lc1, There should be a mechanism that releases the drag on the twine to allow it to feed into the bale, then the drag is firm right through to cutoff. It needs a fair bit of resistance for the knives to cut. We use a thinner twine for round bales (not the thick stuff for small square...

    Rail questions

TBH you can bash away at a pin and all that but the easiest way is to unbolt 2 plates, cut a link out cutting the link in half between the holes, pull track together and bolt pad on and weld up. Half hour job. Bill.

    New chains popping on D3

:iagreeIf that chain and sprocket was on a high trac design it would work. That's why on a conventional low sprocket the lead in angles on the teeth are wider. That chain with the big bushings does not belong with that sprocket. Bill

    New chains popping on D3

Some of the crap coming out of Asia at the moment is shocking. I wouldn't be surprised if you got a tape out and measure across the tips of the sprocket you'd get different numbers, fairdinkum the stuff I've seen you would only use for net weights. I guess it's the old saying ,you get what...
