Toyota 4SDK8 Skidsteer - Right Wheels won't unlock

Hey thanks mate, I'll give that a shot first. I'm guessing that involves draining oil from around the chains? I'll check the manual. Cheers

Toyota 4SDK8 Skidsteer - Right Wheels won't unlock

So when I can get it to move, it sounds like this.... Does this sound like the brake pin is bent or not quite unlocking correctly? OR a mate suggested that the chain may have stretched. would that sound like this?

Toyota 4SDK8 Skidsteer - Right Wheels won't unlock

I'm having trouble getting my right side wheels to move. They've been a bit touchy for years, but I little rock forward or back has always done the trick. Now the right side seems to be locked for the most part. If I put the parking brake on and then release it I can usually get about a...

CAT 3208 fuel pump stopped working

Ok so I managed to have a look at the solenoid. With 12V on the upper terminal which I believe is positive there is no click or sound at all. I just removed the wire and reconnected it with the ignition on a few times. I checked for volts with a continuity tester too. Could this be the answer??

CAT 3208 fuel pump stopped working

Ok great thanks Craft. I read somewhere someone recommended disconnecting the solenoid as standard practice. I won't get a chance to work on it till the weekend so I'll gather as much info as I can over the next few days.

Hi Guys, I have a Louisville LNT8000 with a CAT 3208 in it. I haven't driven it for about 5 weeks because of xmas etc. This morning I ran it for about 25 min while I loaded my bobcat on and when I took off I got about 200 metres up the road and then it stopped dead. I tried the hand pump...

    Louisville LNT8000 pwoer steering question

Louisville LNT8000 power steering question Hi guys, This should be pretty simple, I need to fill my power steering fluid but I'm not sure which fluid to use. I have a 1980 Louisville LNT 8000. From what I can tell if I have an Eaton BB pump, a ZF Pump or a Ross TAS 65 pump I can fill it...

Louisville LNT8000 tipper hoist won't come down

I'm not sure I'll have a look and take some more photos later. How do I get a look at the rod seal? its all pretty tight in there. I should probably mention this again at this point. This is my first truck so I'm on a steep learning curve at the moment... Thanks guys!

Louisville LNT8000 tipper hoist won't come down

Yes there is air to both sides when the appropriate switch is pressed in the cab. What do I look for with the bore and o-rings? From what I can tell they look in reasonable condition. And yes when I start working on it I will be putting a block in. thanks!!

Louisville LNT8000 tipper hoist won't come down

I tipped out some sand today, after that my hoist wouldn't come back down. I checked for air on both the up and the down lines and they seem fine. (the hoses thrash around when disconnected) I think this is the diverter valve? I was lucky to get some phone advice and I pulled the cap...

Lousiville LNT 8000 Front diff input seal leaking oil

Ok I have to confess, I chickened out of trying to fix it. The weight of it was worrying me because I already hurt my back lifting a piano last week. The good news is it's all fixed now, i don't know how much it will cost, he hasn't sent me the bill yet. Thanks for all your help guys...

Lousiville LNT 8000 Front diff input seal leaking oil

Ok I've decided not to take the risk. I've had a wheel fall off before and I don't want a repeat performance. Also I can't get a part number until I pull the seal out and because is Saturday all the the shops shut at midday. Looks like I have to get the seal on Monday. How do I tell if the...
