Wirtgen W1900?
Great machine its a little underpowered compared to whats out there now just give the hydro lines a good look at if purchasing a 2005 they seemed to get neglected and are the first to blow in the middle of a jobsite -

Caterpillar pm 102 : anyone have any experience with one?
The PM 102 has the power to perform for a 1m mill I do have issues with getting the leg barrel to fold in and out a bit of an electrical nightmare just remember its really a Bittelli and parts can take awhile to get -

1997 1900 DC issues
Thnx for the reply Jeff and yes I have adjusted the Sensitivity on the box and set it to the lowest. I don't think it is proportional because there are only 2 settings for the Sen Stan. & Low but if that's the nature of the beast with these old machines then so be it. Just odd it only does it... -

I run a 1900dc when autos are on the left side jumps up and down erratically. Moba controllers and it seems it is always searching. We switched the solenoids and the right side started to jump. We got 2 new solenoids and it didn't fix the problem? Anyone ever encounter this problem? Yes we... -

Hey there Teezy we just bought a 2010 pm-102 its a fast and powerful machine for a 1m mill it also cleans up nice. Its heavy for a 1m machine but makes for a smooth ride. Replacing old Mill
Currently we have a 1900dc she's a lil tired but still works great. Also 1200f also tired but its a 1 man show and she is fast. and also our 2 old 1000's they need to be laid to rest. We are looking into a new mill mainly to replace our 1000's. Obviously speed/power is a factor nothing more... -

Material left behind
The material left behind is on both sides looks like 2 windrows, not a problem in the middle of the cut. They are older machines so I mill at slow speeds and slow right down at end of cut. Still meaning to take pics. Material is coming from both sides of the moldboard. -

Having a huge problem with material left behind with our older Wirtgens. We run 2 Wirtgen 1000 and a 1900dc and a 1200f all of em leave lots of material behind. They are older machines and the back ends are a lil sloppy i was also tld teeth positioning can be a problem if they are angled out... -

MULTIPLEX - Do you use them?
Milling_Drum is the only option for a Multiplex system for a Wirtgen a Sonic sensor or is there other great options like "Grade wheels". I have a buddy who works for a company who shall remain namless that still uses GW's on their CAT mill... poor b*****d -

Hey just a question. We run an older W1900 ('97 i do believe) and thinking about getting a Multiplex for it when we are milling from Curb to Curb. Any suggestions from the pros? Oh and buying a new mill is not an option atm. -

Rear Steer options

Metal detectors on millers
Hi there new to forum and milling. We do alot of Municipality work and constantly are running into burried Manholes/valve boxes. I read about someone talking about metal detectors on the machine. Is it actually attached to the machine or just a labourer walking ahead? Oh and yes we run wirtgens... -
