    Painting Equipment

I can't speak for the people of this board, but I'm a big believer in painting equipment if you going to sell it. I haven't seen much of the topic on the internet. Generally, I speak with people who buy and sell equipment and they all say put a fresh coat of paint on before selling for a...

Komatsu PC 210 LC-6 Problems with Power Loss

Checked it I checked the banjo bolt on the side of the pump. It wasn't that hard to get to and I do have air conditioning on the machine. I didn't see a a strainer when I took the bolt out. The bolt wasn't clogged with anything. Any more ideas?

    Grapple or Thumb

For what its worth I've used both. In my opionion the grabble sucks on machines that are larger than 65 to 70 thousand lbs. The grapples stationary side is to thick and hard to pick up smaller objects. Mostly, I don't like it because your visibility is limited when picking things up, you...

Komatsu PC 210 LC-6 Problems with Power Loss

Thanks I think your spot on bud. I did notice a slowdown this afternoon traversing a a big hill. I didn't check the strainer yesterday. I'll take a look in the morning. Thanks for all the help. Would you know where the strainer is in relation to the fuel filters? Would it be on the same...

    Taking out Trees

Any Size I wouldn't recommend using the rake when pushing trees, just the stumper. The rake is a addon that bolts to the stumper. The stumper is good for ripping roots away before you push'em down and not grabbing a lot of dirt. I always put the rake on after I'm done clearing. I primarily...

Komatsu PC 210 LC-6 Problems with Power Loss

The Problem has been neutralized Thanks to everyone that posted. I resolved the problem this morning at about 7 oclock. I got on the machine and it would not respond to any joystick movements. I had a couple of fuel filters on hand, so I started there. Low and behold it was the dam fuel...

Komatsu PC 210 LC-6 Problems with Power Loss

service I purchased the machine from a dealer and they did the inspection and service before I purchase it. Had 3446 hours when I bought it and it has 3900 now. I don't know if they changed the hyd. filter or if they flushed. I guess I need to change the fluid and filter and see if that works.

Yeah. It sounds like that. Its hard to say though because komatsu machines make a whinning noise normally anyway.

    Bid Bonding Question?

Hey I've also just started bidding jobs that require bonds. I've found that that most of mine are cover with a 3 % fee and I'm new to this. I don't think you should pay more than that.

what was the hardest machine for you to learn?

I agree I'm not bragging either, but I find that when I'm given about 20 or 30 hours in the seat I start to become pretty effeceint at what I'm doing. I can't fine grade either with a dozer, nor do I want to, but I have studied great operators habits when it comes to putting stuff within a...

Komatsu PC 210 LC-6 Problems with Power Loss

Hello to all! I noticed a problem about a week ago that is getting worse over time. After the machine warms up for about 3 to 5 minutes everything sounds normal. When you first start to move forward or backwards the machine sounds and moves great for about 4 to 5 feet then slows down to...

    Taking out Trees

My Technique I've been pushing alot of big trees recently. I normally dig front and back of tree, reach high and walk the machine to push the tree down and guide the tree with the bucket in the desired direction. Its a good Idea to not get in a hurry. If your clearing and grubbing...
