Septic tanks in 18" ground water and running sand

The counter weight is supposed to stop it from floating as these are holding tanks meant to be pumped completely empty. I like the idea of pumping them down had thought about it but thought maybe to far outside of the box. The only issue is they have to go where drawn on the plan which is side...

Septic tanks in 18" ground water and running sand

The only problem with dewatering is where I send the water. It's a residential lot less than a acre in critical area and have been told it's ok to dewatering on day of excavating but must use filter bags and straw berms to contain. This is just going to saturate the area and run back to the...

Septic tanks in 18" ground water and running sand

I have 2, 2000 gallon holding tanks to install in 18" ground water and running sand. To top off house is existing along with trees and garage so not lots of room. Was thinking trench box 20x20 with steel plates on each end. Sounds good but rental guy says no. 20' spreader not available so I...

    Axle Cap removal 943

I have always had cat replace the reusable ends for free if they broke while they were changing them. They have replaced both ends and sleeves before free. I think I would at least question that as my cat dealer is not known for giving handouts.

    88 Ford L8000 7.8L Removing Thermostat housing

I don't know how your truck is but mine with a 7.8 has double thermostats and it was on top of the motor with only 4 bolts holding it on. Are you sure it is the thermostat housing you are trying to get off?

Snow plow quick hook up ideas?

On my 580SK I took a old truck frame and cut it down to fit the curve of the bucket, welded ears on top to hold the frame on top and a chain binder to pull it tight. That way I'm only left ears on the top of the inside of bucket. Everybody says the plow if to far forward but it seems to work...

763bobcat will start and then dies not sure what to look for

If you have already changed the fuel filter then it is probably the screen in the tank. If you raise the cab and follow the fuel line into the tank there is a rubber grommet you pull out then the hose and screen will pull out so you can either clean or replace. That is what always happened with...

    Mitsubishi 230LC parts

I had a 300 once and if you know your parts guy at Cat he can get most but they don't usually want to I guess it is to much trouble to cross everything. As far as the lights I have been using LED as they don't mind the 24 volt.

    Used dump truck, 1985 L9000

That seems like a great truck. I have had a few the only difference being the trans but a 15 spd should be great for a dump. Those Cummins are really dependable and easy on fuel. the cab parts are getting a little harder to find but I haven't had much trouble yet. All of mine have gave up on...

    Insurance Company

Try Erie insurance I've been with them 8 years never jacked rates paid good on my home owners claim and always pretty easy to deal with other than you have to report your drivers to them and they approve. But this keeps their rates where when I call around to price check the other companies...

    What difference does it make?

My dad bought a 510B new in 84 with extendahoe that would dig 21 feet on leval ground and about 23 standing on the cutting edge and outriggers barely touching and we put in many septics that deep with it before replacing it with a excavator. Around here it is common for septic trenches to be...

    Recreating a field

Depends on circumstances if this something you have to fix to be able to work the field and that is all you have then you might not be insane. But if you have other ground and can do something else with this field it would be cheaper. I would start with a heavy disc breaking up the sod multiple...

    Well designed skid steer forks?

The best ones I have found are the Cat ones and I have been able to pick up a couple sets for about $650 slightly used from the dealer they always have them I think they go out on rental machines and they just send a new set each time. They have held up to my TL240 well and you have good visibility.

    Dump truck options.

That's the return line so the pump wont overheat while the pto. is in gear but you aren't moveing any oil. You only realy need that if you plan to power anything other than the dump like a spreader it is a good line to hook up a filter to since you already have the port.

    John Deere wheel loader 544B 1978. Pros/cons?

Don't know to much about the 444 but it is not like the 544 of same time it doesn't have pilot controls or quite as good of layout as the 544e but like I said I haven't owned one just ran one once and wasn't impressed.
