Here's an assortment of our equipment

Nice looking tractors. I have seen this on other machines but I was wondering why the roof or sweeps are enclosed for such a long distance? What advantages does this offer? Thanks...

    screamin jimmys

Here's a screaming Jimmy This belongs to a friend of mine just East of Flagstaff. One of the nicest guys you would ever want to run into but boy he builds some crazy cars. I believe this one has an 8V71. Its still in the building process but you can be sure it will scream when it's all done.

Can I go up this hill?

Steep Hil One thing a guy may look into would be a 4 in 1 or clamshell bucket. It's been my experience that this extra weight of the bucket will help the stability of the machine when climbing steep hills. This has been proven several times when we load our machine onto our equipment hauling...

    Seen a little action

Interesting pics Grader4me. Say if I understand you correctly, the wing will tilt forward like a moldboard? If thats the case why or how would that be of any real use? Also when you say extended wing are you saying it's longer or from the pics it looks like it has a ram that you can extend...

    Loading challenges

Excavator Roll Over!! I made my debut in front of our local cat dealer. I was trying to load a mini excavator onto our backhoe trailer. The ramps were to wide to get both tracks on so I decided to just put one track on a ramp and use the bucket to crab walk the machine onto the trailer. Bad...

    Lowboy Crash!

Just a couple quick replies: dpatrik-- You are absolutely right, we took it in the shorts with the insurance claim. We had to wait 2 years before it was settled. Not to mention we did have the trailer "aligned " by laser and it's still scrubbing tires. The fella who hit us sustained a...

    Arizona Snow Blower??

Here is the truck we just picked up a few weeks ago. It's a 1959 Oshkosh with a Sicard blower on it. It has 14000 original miles and has a Cat engine the powers the blower end. We have been real slow around here and this little bugger has sure helped us out. We bought it very very cheap and...

    Lowboy Crash!

Here are some pics of the crash we were in about 2 years ago. The other driver who did survive, crossed the center line and ran into us during some icy road conditions. These pics were taken before the wrecker did any pulling. Thank goodness our driver was ok but was none to happy about the...

    How to reseat tire bead?

Tires A couple things come to mind that have worked for us. 1) Try a small ratchet strap over the center of the tire and crank it down tight. Some times that will force the bead out and it will take air. 2) If you can get your hands on some super stiff pipe soap and place it around the...

    Gas line explosion

Thanks for posting these pics Atlas Rob. My thoughts and prayers to all affected. We have been working for a natural gas company for the past ten years or so and always here how bad it could be but I have never seen any devastation such as this. We actually are finishing a re-coat job in...

    CAT 615c series II

Here is a couple of pics of the scraper we sold about three years ago. We had this machine for about three years total and had pretty good luck with it. Granted this is an older model than what your looking at. We found this size of machine to be very handy. We could finish and haul muck all...

Looking For An Old 5&4 With A Detroit

Found my truck!!! Here she is, 1968 Pete with a Detroit 318 and a 5 and 4 trans. Picked it up in Reno Nevada and actually drove it back to Kingman Arizona without a hitch. Slung oil from one side of the state to the other and loved it. Haven't had much time to work on it yet but definitely...

    Help with homework??

This may be an opportunity?? I often wondered why Deere hasn't tapped into the truck engine market. If my information is correct, I hear Cat is getting out of the truck engine market in 2009. :beatsme Maybe there is a reason for this but I have not ever heard of one.
