    Welding to underside of boom

    I just installed a thumb on a 230 deere and it came with a base plate that was welded to the stick first then the thumb brackets welded last the base was about eight feet long and one foot wide. Mfg recomends to not weld cross ways of the stick, length ways only.

    20,000 lb. behind a pickup safe?

    My buddy that Hotshots picked up a load near Chattanooga the other day, he thought it felt heavy and stopped at the scales at the truck wash. it grossed at 38,620 pounds, truck, trailer and load he took it back and made them unload it. it was a 3500 Dodge.
