    which big mtl to buy?

I agree. This stuff reminds me of the time I was called to help remove snow at a CAT facility about 10yrs ago. It was a Thanksgiving blizzard that snuck up on us and this facility was basically caught with their pants down, trying to find owner/operators to come in and move snow.....only...

    bobcat s650 speed

We leased a brand new fully loaded (2spd) S650 for winter this yr. It had .5hrs on it when delivered. I checked it w/ gps & it was not going the listed speed it was suppose to in either gear. But after about 15 or so hrs it must have "broke in"....it nows goes as it should:beatsme

Bobcat s550/s590 what do people think ???

I must say, the lighting is pretty impressive on the new M series machines. Typically, we don't utilize the lights much, until this time of the yr(snow season).

    which big mtl to buy?

Performance wise, its a close race with the major brands IMO. Some are better at some things over another....but when comparing cabs, other manufacturers arent EVEN CLOSE to these two(Bobcat & Cat). I recently went to the farm show here locally, and it has to be embarrassing for JD, NH, Case...

    which big mtl to buy?

As far as getting the "biggest CTL" on the market....Tak blows everyone away IMO...and that's coming from a die hard Bobcat owner. Outside of that, Bobcat & Cat (in that order) would be my next choice. But, dealer support is important, and that should play a big part in your decision. As far...

Bobcat s550/s590 what do people think ???

I've owned/operated a couple S185 Bobcats, and love them!...with that said, the S590 we currently have, is even better. I would say the biggest features that stood out right away for us over the 185s, were --- cab comfort, increased hyd power when running attachments, & improved SJC...

    Bobcat T590

Hopefully by the time our 190 is upgraded, this is available:thumbsup...great feature imo! Sounds like we are setup vey similar, other than our main line of work is concrete...but we do various jobs on occasion that are just machine work(through plumbers, landscapers, builders, homeowners...

    Bobcat "medium frame" M series

along with cost...those are some of the reasons "medium frame" skid steers are the most popular

    Bobcat T590

Very nice! And yes, its sounds like we do have similar setups. The A91 w/highflow & 2spd is what we have on the new machine also...I love the air ride seat. Our T190 is loaded up also, other than highflow. Considering our 190 only has "about" 950hrs on it, I'd say it may be a couple more...

    Bobcat "medium frame" M series

Yes it has the offset rim kit, which makes it 60in from tire to tire. And yes, that's a 74in in the pic. I also have 62in for it, among some other buckets.

    Bobcat T590

Very nice! I love our T190...great machines. We bought a S590 recently, and BC has done a really nice job with the new Mseries. Have fun with the new toy!

    New purchase - T190,T300 or A300

As long as you are looking at early K series or newer T190's, you will not be underpowered. And it will flat out SMOKE any wheel skid its own size or slightly larger(S250) at digging/leveling tasks. But from the info you've given, I don't think the extra costs of a CTL or an AWS SS is...

When did bobcat switch to the "upgraded" joysticks?

Not sure I understand your question? Bobcat has offered SJC controls for over 10yrs (IIRC)....I do know that the new M series machines have an "improved" joystick control. The new machines joysticks have something like 15 more degrees of movement that is very noticeable. When running our...

    New skid steer break in?

Only 1.5in difference...but for some, that may be enough. We just got a new S590...only have about 10hrs on it so far, but it seems very capable for a medium frame sized machine.

    New skid steer break in?

Congrats on your new purchase! I've owned & operated a few S185's over the yrs...There's a reason that machine is one of the best selling skids they've made! Great machine for the size! And to your question - Yes.

    pricing on bobcats

I would say you'll get them to budge some (under 40k otd???), but from what I've heard, the 500 series are back ordered pretty bad??? I think there are a lot of guys that have been waiting for these units to come out, and now that its here, they are selling faster than they can make them. I've...

    Snow tires?

http://catused.cat.com/images?equipmentId=1644798&style=M The tracks posted above are what I thought were factory on your machine?? And always heard they perform great for snow work?? Other than that, not sure what your options would be, other than studding....????Studs should help...

    Input Needed on CTL purchase!!

If you plan to "clear trails", you may want to consider hyd capabilities(high flow brush hog, etc, etc)?? It sounds to me you have the money to spend on a CTL, if your already comfortable with the prices you mentioned.?. Personally, I've never been overly impressed with Taks hyd performance...
