    As far as I know, our tandems are all drive full time, im not aware of any that can switch to a single drive from being tandem drive. Seems ours are permanent tandem drive both axles!

    Yeah tracked excavators - backhoes, tracked loaders & dozers and wheel loaders make up a majority of my collection thats for sure.     Thanks for that, we had a similar machine here for small jobs, the machine I recall the most was quite large and each bucket was on a chain type system, depth of trench at a guess was about 15-20ft. If I can find the Meccano model of it I will post it here.
