Would you buy a DVD of RG LeTourneau's Machines

Thanks trakloader. I'm working on one, but have gotten sort of slowed down by a "day job" I'm working lately. I should have some more time to upload some new film/videos by this summer and maybe even put together a DVD of "highlights".

    Old LeTourneau Equipment

Cool!! Looks like an old "log stacker" that they used in the Pacific NW to load huge logs. Though RG made a number of crane truck kind of machines for all kinds of odd jobs. Good to see one still being used.

    Sounds of roaring diesels

I'm working on a DVD of old film that had no sound and I am looking for ideas on where I might find sound effects of heavy equipment diesels. I've looked at some free sound effects sites but none of them have the serious heavy equipment sounds I am looking for. Any ideas anyone?

Would you buy a DVD of RG LeTourneau's Machines

I'm working on the DVD. I figure it needs to be more polished and professional than the youtube videos where I do minimal editing. But another angle I'm developing, for raising money for the archive digitization is to sell stuff with RG's machines on it. If you are interested, check it out. All...

Would you buy a DVD of RG LeTourneau's Machines

Thanks for the feedback guys. I do have a copy of an old VHS of RG speaking at a college graduation (Toccoa, GA 1966) and the sound is very good, but the video is very bad. I'm hoping that it was an early transfer (70's) of a film and that I can find the original film. I made a DVD for my...

Would you buy a DVD of RG LeTourneau's Machines

I'm working on a DVD of the film I have transferred so far as a way to raise some money for more supplies I use in the transfer process (film reels, film cleaner, splices, hard drives for storage, etc.). I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in buying one.

    Old Tournapulls

You might regret asking BillG. Yes he did keep a sort of written log. As I've heard and seen the story, he always kept a small spiral flip notebook on him to jot down ideas that came to him, wherever he was. Then at night, before bed, he would transfer those ideas to a 81/2 X11 spiral notebook...

    Old Tournapulls

Maybe not, but you could see old pics of a new Tournapull. I just found out I'm going to get a chance to transfer a film taken in 1948 of a project in Peoria Illinois that had some Super C Tournapulls that were used. They were on loan from the factor RG had in Peoria, so they might be pretty new.

    Old LeTourneau Equipment

@2stickbill I'm not sure how soon I'll find them, but there are some films of the log stackers you are talking about and I will get to them sooner or later, so check back to the youtube channel. I'll also post here when I get them transferred. @jimrr I'm guessing you got one of the Oreleman...

    A LeTourneau

I'm a grandson of RG LeTourneau and joined the site because I have been sharing videos of my grandfathers machines on a youtube site/channel. I noticed that some forum members had put links to my videos on the forum and thought it would be a good place to get feedback and support for what I'm...

    Old LeTourneau Equipment

I'm new to the site but thought there might be some interest in a project I'm working on. I'm digitizing old film I found of RG LeTourneau's machinery and uploading them to a youtube channel for others to view. You can look at them here http://www.youtube.com/user/tournadude?feature=mhsn
