    Just some work pics

As an old carpenter once told me if it is to strong you will never know it. Now I am older than he was when he told me that, amazing how that happens and so fast.

    NIGE

I read his posts, even if I don't have that piece of machinery. He is so great at explaining things and so freely yet humbly shares his knowledge. Thanks for all you do Nige.

    Any brand log trucks

As a rancher told me when we were looking at his cattle. "I started with nothing and have most of it left." Pretty much where I was when I started in construction, then excavation. Would work all week during the day for one fellow, evenings on jobs I had and weekends helping a fellow move...

Pacific trucks in the logging industy

H 17 pulled triples at one time he grossed out 5K pound under a million pounds. Quite a load to manage, around corners.

Hayes trucks in the logging industry

As I remember when I rode with Steve in H17 he figured it took about 300 gallons of water per trip to cool the brakes. Didn't want to put it on till they were warm, as wet brakes weren't much good. Wait to long and the water turns to steam, and cracks brake drums.

    Just some work pics

You learned after one time on the farm of leaving the valve open on the liquid manure spreader and releasing the 4" drop you were going to have a crappy day! Instantly. Had a hot oil bath when operating a Link Belt dragline and one of the valves broke squirting hot oil at you waist high. Then...

    Working the National 1300A

Should make you appreciate what you have all the more, not being squeezed together. Having your plane right there where you can jump in for a quick flight, has to be close to perfect. Years ago we were building a new office at the airport. I was finishing my airmen's certificate, just needed...

    Working the National 1300A

It seems I go a long tie without seeing a snake then this week I saw two. One over 3' long crossing a gravel road. A small on yesterday in the wood pile as I was cutting up some for firewood. I don't like them, but yet they don't bother me, usually.

    Junkyard's work thread.....maybe haha

It sounds like the people are finding out you are back doing repairs, as the work is coming in. Good to hear that you have work and are busy. Keep up the good work and the work will keep flowing your direction!

    Junkyard's work thread.....maybe haha

Used to get the two piece ones, but both suppliers quit or closed their business over the years. They were well made and held up, as long as no one drove a concrete truck over the top. Looks like your puller worker Junkyard, even sweeter when you make something and it makes the job easier and...

    Junkyard's work thread.....maybe haha

Good for you Junkyard, I am betting you will have all the work you want, and more real soon. Looking forward to seeing what you are working on machines or house doesn't matter I will enjoy. I worked on the road on the west coast, had 6 states to cover a part of 3 others. Be gone for 3 weeks...

Your camera has to put many a smile on your face, setting something in the blind. When they have no idea, how you can be so talented, best operator they have ever seen.

What is the experimental plane that you fly Natman? I went to the Stearman fly in last week and got a couple rides with pilots I have met over the years. Sure lots of fun and always enjoyable meeting some of the pilots!

Not the way to make a Q tipped prop, a very expensive mistake. Must of not heard the horn-buzzer for the gear not down.

    Demolition, clearing and grading

I try to scrap as much as possible when tearing down houses. I did a demo for the church and told them I would give them the scrap. They didn't think much of it till it paid for a third of the cost of the demo, job.

A few projects I have done recently

You do some interesting and good looking work. I had to dig for a new commercial service 3 four inch PCV pipes last week. Had two gas lines and a fiber optic to go under, plus cut the street. I helped pull the 2500' of wire this week with the electricians old pole truck that has a reel on...
