    i have a set of original 81 pacific plates and they are installed by pacific on the removable engine side covers , its a p510, was it just the larger trucks with them installed on the hood ?

    i found 2 of those converted rail tankers out in renfrew area , all rusty now , one parked near gordon river and one across the san jaun river about 2 years ago tho , not sure if the scrappers have them now tho , also there were a few square tanks , setup near creeks , i,m guessing they were...

    bear creek bridge , the curved road bridge that was on bear main , ,it was closer to the san jaun river , i have some pics of the remains of that bridge, i,m guessing that the buildings in these pics were when they moved to beach camp ? great stuff thks for posting !!!!

    thanks dave it is confusing for me i wondered how it all came from the e and n land grant to dunsmiurs and then to the varios companies ,,, lyles company is island pacific logging ..... i worked at a lot of mills hauling sawdust etc and one was smith cedar in victoria , hershel smith owned it...

    sbeange the skidder has the hydo valve steering and an allison 2 spd auto , i wouldnt want to run it full time as its a real pig to operate,

    think its a c7 it has a tag on the dash area , i,ll have to look, the only new parts that i put in other than filters fluid and paint, redid the brake caliper on the driveshaft

    these are just the 2 huge logs with crossbeam? held together with 3 inch cable and the cable ends where poured lead ends all the winches and metal stuff was long gone , i,ll get back out that way in the next few weeks and take some pics ,,, not much steel for the scrapers also on private gated...

    yup it was like going uphill on the williams bridge ....thanks for the info , that roads owned by timberwest now from kapoor hill to garbage creek gated both ends and i doubt it will connect anytime soon ,, have to go all the way to cowichan to get to renfrew ....

    i found the shawnigan side of williams creek a few years ago , not much to see looked a lot different with alot of trees there,, what year was it torn down ? also a rumour was that the army built it ??? as another way out to the coast ...

    years ago i was researching the bear creek trestle , i tried to find the bridge on bear creek , the creek was re- named blackney after the engineer that built it , took me a while to figur that out , not much left to see now
