New engine for my Pel Job EB 12.4 ?

Lil Pus : The engine was swapped some 3 years(?) ago. The old one was completely worn out. There was hardly any compression left in it. Gatz : PM me your email address. I'll send you what ever I have. There is some documentation of the engine in the manuals I have for the digger. Sadly...

Two Questions: Mitsubishi MM35B Glow Plugs & Idler Roller Grease Bolt

Hello. Is it the "same" engine as the Mitsu L3E? If so, TORO lawn mowers also use the L3E (well, they do anyway). I found the head gasket for my Pel Job EB12.4 as a spare part at a toro supplier.

Creative use of my Pel Job EB 12.4 :-)

Sorry if this is off topic. Moderator, feel free to move it. The mini digger is at the other side of the hoses. I was afraid the digger would not deliver enough fluid to operate this thing, but it seems to be more than enough...

Final drive oil , Pel Job EB12.4

Sadly, the last person renting my digger googled this thread when he got the idea of topping up the HYDRAULIC system, so he bought a 4-liter of API GL5 80W90 and put it on the hydraulics. So, for any one it might concern : FINAL DRIVE OIL DOES ---<<<NOT>>>--- GO INTO THE HYDRAULICS !!! (IKKE...

New engine for my Pel Job EB 12.4 ?

An update. I did change the engine, and it worked well. Sort of. The "new" engine started easily in any temperatures, but the head gasket was damaged. I do not think the seller knew this. He was very helpfull getting a new gasket at a descent price, and had it sent to me for free. I only paid...

Mixing hydraulic oil and gear oil?

Hello. I own a well used (6000 hrs?) Pel Job EB 12.4 1,3 ton mini digger. It have a small leak in a valve, but so far, I've found it better to just add some oil from time to time, than overhauling the valves. I let it out, and I always tell the users there are a small leak, but not to...

Hydraulic valve leaking , Pel Job EB12.4. What to do?

I sent an inquery about this, but I never got any response :-( I haven't done anything else to the valve. I have too mouch other things to do all summer, and in the winter it is too cold to start removing the valves. The leak is not that big, so for now, I'd rather use a little extra oil in...

New engine for my Pel Job EB 12.4 ?

BTW. The new engine was mounted earlier this year. Unfortunately, it turned out to have a head gasket leak, but this engine seems to be in good shape otherwise. It always start easy, and does not smoke a lot. It also sound mouch better than the old one. New head gasket was ordered at...

Hydraulic valve leaking , Pel Job EB12.4. What to do?

I am afraid I am not at mouch help, but would appreciate if you share what ever solution you find with us. Volvo bought Pel Job around 1998, I think. It seems the later models were sold as Pel Job or Volvo depending on the country where they were sold new.

Hydraulic valve leaking , Pel Job EB12.4. What to do?

I might have quoted a little wrong here. I've had 2 treads going here, this one, and one with the change over valve not working. Tha change over valve have been replaced at the cost mentioned above, but the main valve leaking have NOT been touched. I suppose you have other type valves...

Hydraulic valve leaking , Pel Job EB12.4. What to do?

Hello. I bought the 2/6 way change over distributor "thing" new, with spool and every thing. Price was around NOK 2000, equalling €250 , incl 25% Norwegian VAT. I suspect you need some thing a litte bigger for your EC30. Mine is a EB 12.4 , 1,3 ton. This is where I bought mine ...

    Electrical problem Pel Job EB12.4

I'll try to answer as good as I can from my experience. I am no trained mechanic. The access is very poor, and there are lots of hydraulic hoses that don't want to be told where to go. There was almost no hydraulic spilling when I disconnected the hoses. From what I can remember, I would say...

Hydraulic valve leaking , Pel Job EB12.4. What to do?

The levers are easy to move. I've lubricated them with lots for grease, and tighten everything I can. There are some ply, but the valves also need to be moved quite a bit to react, so even if it had no ply at all, the levers still need to be moved quite a bit. The good news, is I've let the...
